Sri Lankan people may look similar to people from India, but the country is different with the country's culture and it's people and should not be compared or say it's like India. It's like comparing Italians with the Germans and saying Italy is like Germany, or comparing Chinese with the Japanese and telling that China is like Japan. Sri Lanka is definitely not like India.

Sri Lanka is one of the cleanest in south Asia. I don't know much about other countries but I've been to India and as a Sri Lankan I was so thankful that I got to live in a clean country and a country with nice kind people, despite the current economic issues.

Hindi is not spoken in Sri Lanka. This is an Indian video.

Yes But I still don't understand Why on earth we call Sri Jayawardhanapura the Capital, when Colombo or Kandy, or even Anuradhapura should be the capital for many reasons. The only reason to name Sri Jayawardhanapura the capital is because it has the name of a former president. isn't it?

Likewise similar to NYC and Albany, NY in the State of New York USA, Sri Lanka has Colombo as it's commercial capital and "Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte" as the the legislative capital.
