My 2year & 2month old son sits with me while I watch rugby and of course I'm always yelling various comments at the tv screen. Besides him always yelling "get the ball" when the opposition have it, (cause if they're not wearing green and gold they're the opposition :) ) when asked, "who's your favourite rugby player" his answer, and I kid you not, is "Faf de Klerk".

@@christopherkennedy4055 No doubt a lion would beat a mongoose in a straight fight. One is ten times the size and strength of the other. My point, and it applies to Cheslin Kolbe, is that a mongoose is very quick and agile, so a lion wouldn't have much chance of _catching_ a mongoose. Therefore, not much chance of us seeing a fight between them. Did you know that a mongoose eats cobras, among other things? It is so quick and agile that it can jump out of the way of a cobra strike. Think about it...
Having played with ches and knowing him as a person you will be more amazed at how humble he is with everything. He's one of the best rugby players to ever walk the field in my opinion. From Springbok 7s to Springbok 15 man. As far as n know he has won more trophies than any rugby player. Top 14, Euro cup world cup, Olympics for 7s and currie Cup trophies. what makes him so dangerous then most fast rugby players is the control he has over his speed, itz scary to see someone switch his speed on and off or to be able to just stop when he wants to is incredible.

he plays in the South Africa national team (green) and in the French championship with Toulouse (red and black). He plays rugby union (15 players on the team, scrum, continuous game), very different from rugby league (13 players on the team, no scrum, stop and play)
Hes an outstanding player best winger in the world right now
Cheslin kolbe I just love to see him just one thing every one calls him the best rugby player in the world?for me it's almost impossible to say any player is the best in the world and that's simply because rugby is so diverse every player contributes to a try but by far the best wing in the world reminds me of Braynhaban

I use to go to the gym and see him and his cousin all the time, very nice guys
Looking forward to the anticipated All Blacks v Bok games to determine who’s undisputed World Champion. Lot of respect for Kolbe he is world class on and off the field.
Cheslin Kolbe's cousin Wayde van Niekerk is a top track athlete. He broke Michael Johnson's 400 metre record which stood for 17 years at the Rio Olmpics in 2016. He holds the world atletics records in 300m (again breaking Michael Johnson's record) and, of course, the 400m. He is the first and only person to have ran the 100m in under 10s. the 200m in under 20s ,the 300m in under 31 and the 400 in under 44s.
Thank you for supporting the South Africans 🇿🇦🇿🇦
"hop step" = Goose step in South Africa "v step"= Sidestep "helmet" = scrumpet "end zone"= Try "hult"=Line out Scrums are after a knock-on keep up the good work tho
He is the best rugby player in the world at the moment. Undoubtedly such an amazing guy. His humble and a gentleman but a beast on the field. I use to do massage treatments for him. Great guy proudlh 🇿🇦♥️
Great highlights. You should see this small man depending. He tackles huge apponents. He is also great under the high ball to. Rugby players, aspecialy wings must be able to attack and defend well. He was great against the huge All Black wings on defence. Great rugby player.
Also a fun fact is his cousin is Wayde van Niekerk the 400m world champ, fast family, went to school with Wayde and even then he and his cousin were super fast
You so funny ...all the way from South Africa
Cheslin not only sidesteps well, he is an all-rounder - tackles well, takes the high ball well, passes the ball well, kicks well, drop kicks well, place kicks well, runs into space well, plays multiple positions - fullback, wing, scrum half and flyhalf - all at elite level.
Gazelle is another name for Springbok (The nickname of the RSA rugby team), so your reference to gazelle was spot on
The scrum cap is a form of headgear used by rugby players to protect the ears in the scrum, which can otherwise suffer injuries leading to the condition commonly known as cauliflower ears. Although originally designed for forwards they are now worn by players of all positions, even those who do not play in the scrum.
Cheslin Kolbe is ambidextrous lean mean agile machine. One of the greatest wings already of ALL TIME and an amazing humble heart to
The try he scored on the 6:30 min in your video ,was in 2019 in the Rugby World Cup finals(the best of the best)
"Everyone must use those helmets" Rugby player: "TRIGGERED"
Watching the springboks, 'what is an agile like animal' 😂
Im from south africa and i have to say kolbe is one of our best
Ok so in the beginning of the game there is a kick off which is a Drop Kick. If the ball goes direct out the opponent has a choice to take a scrum in the middle of the field or they can Kick off to you. If the ball does not go out direct you can keep playing. A scrum is a penalty if you knock the ball on which means you drop the ball forward. If the ball is in your 20 m line you may kick the ball direct out. If the ball is outside your 20 m line there is a lineout from where you kicked the ball. A lineout is when all the forwards are in a line which means all the people in the scrum are in the line. The the ball gets thrown in but if you trow skew it is a penalty. A try is worth 5 points. A conversion is worth 2. A penalty conversion is worth 3. So that is the basics of rugby
This guy is just a beast
Literally thought my Netflix was accidentally playing in the background... 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great footage and reactions from ASF. You should check out Rupeni Caucaunibuka (Fiji) and Brent Russel (South Africa), both from the early 00's. Russel was a bit like Kolbe, low centre of gravity, compact, fast and deadly stepping. Rupeni was big, fast and with devastating direction changes and lines.

Yep very very good. One of the best ever. To think he only made the 2019 SA RWC squad due to injury to the other guy, coach Rassie and others saying he is too small and boy did he show them a thing or two!
At 06:40, that was the 2019 RWC final and was the second ever try scored in a Rugby World Cup final. It was the last of the final as well. The first ever try was scored by another South African Makazole Mapimpi, in the same match. England lost that final in Japan 32-12.

haha, RUNS... in the family
There is a mix of games shown between world Cup, premiership, international friendlies, friendlies, tours. Every game is a union game because it is a type of rugby called rugby union of which Cheslin kolbe plays. There are other types of rugby such as sevens etc but Kolbe only plays rugby union which is the most common and in my opinion and many others the best.
They're all Rugby Union games (15 players on the field per team), however, this footage of him in the Springboks jersey is either Rugby World Cup games or friendlies or Rugby Championship games. The club ones are just a league (i.e. Super Rugby, Top 14, Pro 14 etc)
on time line 6:30 in your video. was the winning try he score against England in 2019 IRB World Cup Final. The player he side stepped was Owen Ferral the Captain on England side. Man, i was of my feet when he scored that try.
6:30 the try that brought my country South Africa to Victory in the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan!! That mach made South Africa one of the best rugby teams in the entire world!! With New Zealand and Englands rugby teams.
Most of these games is international rugby test games and world cup games.
Hi from South Africa. You should see Brian Habana back in his hayday. Once called the fastest rugby player in the world during the 2004 world cup
Chelsin Kolbe is a real springbok in action - agile and fast as the buck.
So proud of my countrymen
To answer your question in 3.35...yes it is a rugby union game and I think it is one of a test match, also rugby union has its own World Cup matches and it is played every 4 years....okay and on 10.45 where number 15 for France did the something what Kolbe did against the New Zealand AB is pretty much the same thing....we call it the "hospital" pass and as a result it may came off good or it may came out the dead opposite.
In South Africa we don't call it a hop step we just call it step
