American’s experience Korean Baseball in Seoul!

Come with us to a Doosan Bears game in Seoul, South Korea.
We didn’t know what to expect from attending a baseball game in South Korea but the energy was electric! We can’t recommend this enough and I’m not sure we saw any other foreigners there. Such a local experience.
Korean baseball games aren’t like our baseball games in the U.S. in that it almost feels like a concert or festival! The atmosphere was incredible and we hope we get to go to another Doosan Bears game someday. Go Bears!
Have you ever been to a sporting event in another country? We can’t recommend it enough! ⬇️

Hey guys! 😄 We’re Marshall and Aimee, an American couple who dropped everything to travel the world. 🗺 After a long wait through COVID and after saving for years, we finally left for a year of world travel in December of 2021. ✈️ Since we met, our mission has been to “see the world through each others eyes”. 👀 That includes the eyes of the amazing people (and animals) we meet on the road! We strive for budget travel and love finding interesting ways to save money while traveling. 💵 Recently we’ve been housesitting our way through Europe! 🐶🐈
We post new travel videos every week.

Hey guys! We're back with one of our favorite videos we've ever made. 😍 It was just pure fun! As American baseball lovers we knew we had to try to see a baseball game ⚾when we were in South Korea. We'll be Doosan Bears fans forever! Have you ever been to a baseball game in another country? #koreanbaseball
아주 아름다운 이른 여름의 하늘을 영상에 잘 담으셨어요. 그 야구경기장이 있는 곳이 '잠실'이라는 지역인데, 살기 좋은 지역입니다. 구경 잘 했습니다.
For a small crowd, there is A LOT of energy in that ball park! Go Bears! 🙂
This seems like a must do in Korea, it has become a big part of their culture. The sports in cultures is such a great thing to share. We are checking in with our friends here to let you know about our name change and upcoming RTW drive in a solar SUV. Being anthropologists, we love to watch people have new experiences in new places, especially those who promote culture and nature. Keep up the fun and we look forward to sharing in your journey, as we hope you are enjoying ours. Thanks for the support. - Turtle and Bea

It was an absolute blast! We would go back in a heartbeat.
Maybe the reason there were fewer people was because it was an exhibition game before the season began. Baseball is the most popular sport in Korea and enjoyed by men and women of all ages. It would be good to experience Korea's unique baseball culture. The season runs from April to September, and if you're watching a weekend game, you can always see a packed stadium. After that, the playoffs and the Korean Series will be held until November, but it is not easy to get tickets. I hope the information is helpful.

Thanks so much for the info! And glad to know that we were lucky this time around to get tickets. 😍 This was one of our favorite experiences traveling. Such a fun atmosphere and we love American baseball so this was amazing to see!
Fun Fact : At least 30% of Korean baseball fans go to the Ballpark in order to eat & drink lol.

Aw really? We’ll have to check out their video! 😄
Yoo no way! You walked by an apartment where I used to live. As a Korean student studying abroad, I always enjoy my summer break in Korea and watch at least 2 baseball games a week lmao

Isn't it wild?! We loved it! 😍
I love the city so much to find out how tourists come here to experience it, I like American baseball less than Korea is the place with the most interesting destination..

We loved Korean baseball! It was so much fun. We would love to go back someday.
How long was the game?!

I would say that it was about 2-3 hours long! It felt shorter than an MLB game.
Korean Baseball is not MB level but cheering is top in the world. If you are in Korea Go and see a baseball game it will your mind blow. It is so much fun and you will LOVE it! Korea Has so much to offer.
