As another commenter said, the hitchhiker was Money Mark. He produced this song along with others on the Snacktime EP when AG was in California in 2021. The members fully participated in that process, including writing lyrics. The pineapple idea came about because Money Mark brought a pineapple to the AG rental house because he didn't want to leave it in his car that day. And the rest is history!

'Night of the Exam' is a must-see, single take video done in a classroom. Atarashii Gakko's fantastic dance routine combined with the camera work is truly excellent. 👍

Still want your opinion on Koi Geba it is about teacher/student affairs a real problem in Japan (and elsewhere). The way they shoot the video always thought was unique. Also a banger song.

The guy on the side of the road was "Money Mark" Nishita, who produced for the Beastie Boys for the better part of 20 years.

This one is actually directed by quite a legendary guy -- Philip Atwell, who has made some of the most iconic music videos, mostly for rappers (Dr Dre, Eminem + many others) around the turn of millennium.

Their best video, from a dance point of view, is Seishun wo kirisaku hado, official choreography video. Amazing.
