G series is the heavy chassis for tipper work or basic heavy haul unit. I had a 143 v8. 14lt series 3 tractor unit with low loader for carting a drill and 16t digger on that when bare back would wind up to 150kph easy and pulled like hell. Remember there are 1000hp Scania V8 with warranty in CV90 Swedish tank and 1200hp in marine applications so little tuning won't hurt it and if you want to compare what it's truly capable there is 2200hp Scania Chimera somewhere there in the wild. On scanias you can switch off the top spot lights and just turn on the bottom spot lights on high beam for fog. The 2 inside lights in the bumper are high beam fog lights next to the low beam fog lights. But with after market top spot lights it might not work that way. The switches to toggle between top and bottom spot lights should be below the switch to turn on the lights.

Yeah, it's literally the name of the country where it's made. It's like "Look there's a tractor called Canada, I believe it's made in the US." 😀 Anyway, Belarus is very close to Russia, both geographically and culturally, so Bruce wasn't that far off really.

Because the domestic trucks cant compete. Even the Volvos and other Euro owned trucks made there are years behind what's available in most other parts of the world.

Maybe you can explain why Scanias sometimes has 4 different exhaust pipes? Two on the back of the cab, and two grass-burners sticking out both sides of the fairings. The craziest part is how the grass-burners are the ones that blow the smoke, while the stacks don't blow anything, at least in the videos that I've seen!

The one thing I've learned about getting an alignment on a big truck is to always make sure they align the steering wheel, too! I wouldn't know if that would also apply on a Euro Truck, too, or not, especially since their trucks are so much more advanced. I wouldn't be surprised if their steering wheel aligns automatically once the axle is aligned, lol! No, but seriously, though. I've never gotten an alignment that did the job perfect, even with getting the steering wheel aligned, too. The truck always still pulls to one side even after the alignment! I don't even think I've ever driven a truck that didn't pull, and that's even after doing the king pins, etc etc.

I dont understand the concept of Americanising this truck, It would make more sense to keep it standard European to show and highlight the difference. Back in the day lots of British operated trucks from both Scania and Volvo were 'Americanised' by false Kenworth style radiator Grills, stack exhaust pipes and extended sleepers. To their owners they may have looked better, but the majority of us ordinary drivers saw them as mongrels ! I personally think if you went ahead with tarting this old girl up, you would spoil the European experience for American drivers, many who would then think it always looked like that . Keep it original Bruce, it would be more appealing in its proper design.....plus Square tanks are good, round tanks hold less!
