I don't truly know enough to compare a European semi truck to our American semi trucks, but truth be told some can truly take a beating and a ahlf and keep going. This is awesome!

The European truck technically cheated. The European truck pushed the American truck off the road and jammed the American truck under the side of the final straight.

An American truck pushed a European truck on the first turn. And the accident on the bridge climb was an accident, because the trucks clashed and someone would have been hurt in the bottleneck.

That ol corn-binder (trucker slang for International) gave it her all but just couldn't match the lighter more nimble MAN. Our trucks in the US, especially the pre-2000's, weigh a ton more with the increased frame length and sleeper size due to DOT Regs, but damnit do I love them for the old school look, dominating presence, and the sound. Wouldn't mind having the option though here in the US for some of the Euro trucks. They look neat, Scania especially for their style, that heavenly sounding V8, and their turning radius. Euro Truck "Lorry" Advantages: Quick at the launch & handles much better in tight corners due to a lighter body & shorter wheelbase - Shock absorbing cab design provides some comfort during hard landings & bumps Disadvantages: Cab-forward design makes it more prone to frontal damage from hard impacts - Frame's Suspension geometry is stiffer which negatively effects bump absorption. American Truck "Big Rig" Advantages: Full Steel body & frame can take a heavy beating but still keeps going - Extra axles & more wheel torque help out with hauling uphills - Higher ground clearance & soft suspension absorbs most bumps & hard impacts Disadvantages: Immense front-heavy weight distribution & longer wheelbase makes it harder to slow down & steer into tight corners - Longer wheelbase also makes it more prone to chassis flex

Also worth noting, based on experience with ETS2 and ATS (which both seem to be pretty accurate wrt specs), European trucks tend to have more power, and American trucks tend to have more torque. Both of these trucks had their horsepower boosted to be equal, minimizing the engine differences. The explanation I've seen for why European trucks have more HP is because, overall, the EU is more mountainous than the US, at least in percentage of land area.

Euro trucks feel more high-tech (and I think they actually are), American trucks feel more straight forward (have some high-tech but a bit hide inside). I once said Euro and American trucks are like 2 kinds of engineers in Silicon Valley high-tech companies: Euro trucks like those who go to work with suits, drive some brand new luxury or high-tech cars; while American trucks like those with T-shirts and shorts, drive some cheap old cars. But actually they are exactly the same level of engineer, take charge of similar role in a big project, just like these trucks in our world. To me, its never been a question of what is better. Both are made for where they are to work. American trucks are better suited to the long distance relative straight roads and large open loading areas. European trucks are perfect for the smaller windy roads. They are both 👍

during the replay, switch to the world editor mode, there is a tool there - the camera path. Practice and learn how to make good shots

Well, one of the advantages the European truck provides is better cornering in tight spaces. In Australia, European trucks are used for smaller rural deliveries, while US trucks are used for longer rural deliveries.

@@Maddiedoggie yeah which is logically expected and why there is a whole European and American truck market, things in Europe are just smaller and tighter and more constrained for space so they need size limits and tighter turn radius' when in the U.S. things are just bigger lol so it just fits, no need to have a specific shorter frame truck. Though ofc shunters and local trucks with day cabs and 4x2's exist
