Callum it hasn't been a part of the Kingdom of England since 1801 when it ceased to exist. If your talking about the legal system you share you are correct, but we also have devolved powers didfferent tot hose in England. Are we along with Soctland and N. Ireland all part of the same country the U.K then yes you are correct. Otherwise Wales is most certainly not a part of the Kingdom of England and even when we were, culturally we were entirely seperate. It's complicated but I assure you it all makes sense.

I’m a Welsh speaker and really enjoyed this! Fun fact: the actual spelling of the word ‘cwtch’ is ‘cwtsh’. When we say the word cwtsh we pronounce the ‘ch’ as we would pronounce it in an English word such as ‘switch’. However, in Welsh, the ‘ch’ is a letter on it’s own and is pronounced in a different way. So, if cwtsh was spelt with a ‘ch’ it wouldn’t be pronounced properly. The spelling of ‘cwtch’ that most people recognise (spelt with a ch) is the anglicised version whereas the proper Welsh version should be spelt with a sh instead. I only learnt this recently and only saw it spelt ‘cwtch’ until I went to uni in Aberystwyth (glad to see it in the video too!) and saw it spelt ‘cwtsh’ up there. Naturally, I thought someone had spelt it wrong, but it turns out that it was the right spelling and ‘cwtch’ was the wrong spelling! You learn something new every day, huh!

As someone who's both Welsh and still learning the language, this was entertaining to watch. Also, the long word in the description is a train station.

+Shauna Firth (TheWelshGirl) Yeah, Welsh is my first language, and I'd love to hear more people embracing such an old, but beautiful, piece of history. So as long as you try and speak Welsh, I don't think it matters wether it's perfect.
