He’s from Liverpool, the accent is kind of like a mix between Irish, English and Scandinavian. During the Potato Famine, we had a lot of Irish immigrants come over since Liverpool was the closest port, we also had a lot of Scandinavian influence which is where the over-exaggerated “k” sound is from.

It's not Scandinavian influence. It's Welsh. Specifically North Wales. Scandinavian influence was theorised for Yorkshire more than Lancashire but is generally regarded as not the case now for either.
