The chairs keep breaking when you sit on them and people have cut into them making them have sharp edges, and they are just generally very uncomfortable. I remember my high school had the chairs attached to the desks and were incredibly uncomfortable. Didn't exactly stop any of us from falling asleep though. Only classes that were even remotely relaxed enough to even consider creative decoration were Spanish, Art/Ceramics, Music, and Creative Writing. I do remember that we could pretty much sit anywhere we wanted to in Creative awaiting to include on our desk, on the counter, or on the floor. Whichever place got us into creative mode. Art we had tables instead of desks. Spanish? Some of us just sat on the counter. Only rule was that we had to actually use our desk as intended when we had a substitute teacher. Oh. We also got to paint the ceiling tiles in our art class.
