He was a cracking player and is a great person too, eminently likeable, but yeah, injuries can destroy anyone's career. Michael Owen is another example - Won a Balon D'Or early in his career, but by 25 he was on the decline instead of peaking. Hamstring injuries started at Liverpool, Then he went to Madrid and suffered a bout of "Spanish Splinter" (meaning he was stuck on the bench), Then signed for Newcastle and didn't get to play for them for 18 months, because he blew his knee out at the World Cup. Eventually went to United and won a Prem title, but he was a bit-part player by that point. Kaká has already given an interview saying that he was never one of the best in São Paulo's youth team, and that he was only integrated into the professionals to play because the promising players at the time were on tour outside the country with São Paulo's U20 team. Kaka is probably my favourite player ever despite not having any connection with any team that I'm a fan of. He had such a strong understanding of the game, and a very unique skillset. Having him on the field meant having a guy that could be the engine of your offense but also had the goal contribution of a striker. He had the technique and the flair and ability to breakdown a low block that you'd normally associate with brazilians while also being the deadliest transition player in the world, his progression was incredible.

To answer your question : goal contribution numbers are relevant to evaluate a player's performance, if their role in the team is to assist or score goals ;) In that regard and to reference a recent competition, you can consider Mbappé had a poor Euro. On the other hand, Rodri might not have high goal contribution numbers but was instrumental for Spain.

I think that the best way to get an "introduction" into a player would be to watch BOTH a "career story" like this video, and a highlights video. I think that one without the other leaves a gap in understanding the given player.

Also going back to the point of goal contribution i think that was normal back and the day and now we are also getting again where player is considered a superstar if he scores 1 per 80-90 min , the problem many players like Kaka Robben ribery Ibrahimovic and many more did this but it was an era were messi and Ronaldo made it look normal to have 70 goal contributions per season

the goal contributions are cool because if the player have them, it cannot really be "denied" but it doesn't means everything, it does not really apply to every position, it doens't take in account key passes, sometimes you can recognise a player is great because of how he creates opportunities by going running/passing/dribbling when and where to unlock defenses, even if it's not assists

I always loved Kaka by heart..one of the most gifted midfielders.. due to his talent to read a game and letting his team-mates shine due to his clever passing instead of putting himself into the spotlight although having the tremendous ball skills himself to do so = "a role model+enbodiment of a team player" Don´t compare Messi + CR7 with Kaka those 2 aren´t midfielders....I hate in general when people do compare players don´t playing the same position/having a totally different role on the pitch. That simply boggles my mind...because that is basically actually just "fanboy bullsXXXt" and nothing else

Forza Milan.

Pablo Aimar , loved him so much even if he played in Valencia and we lost our UEFA cup against them with Marseille. I loved Henrik Larsson aswell
Love the quality of the recent uploads. Keep it going Luke!
there are SO many amazing players that i grew up watching (early 90's up to late 2010's) you will be doing reaction videos for a long time just to catch up and even then, sadly, you will never witness them at their prime, i dont really follow football closely anymore, but im starting to get back to it! one thing i was always obsessed and always followed, was EURO, mundial, and copa americas!
Kaka is my favorite player ever, his speed and the way he spearheaded the attacks was just a thing a beauty. I hope you'll get to see more of him
Watch Kaka on his prime AC Milan
Kaka is probably my favourite player ever despite not having any connection with any team that I'm a fan of. He had such a strong understanding of the game, and a very unique skillset. Having him on the field meant having a guy that could be the engine of your offense but also had the goal contribution of a striker. He had the technique and the flair and ability to breakdown a low block that you'd normally associate with brazilians while also being the deadliest transition player in the world, his progression was incredible.
Yes a goal contrubution a gamr is WORLD CLASS
He was my favourite player as a kid, I was lucky to see him in his prime even if it was short-he was electric! You should definitely check out a Kaká comp. Those are crazy numbers for a midfielder, he was special! Btw @12:59 it's Messi trying to chase down Kaká... 😅
The second best player to ever grace the Ibrox pitch, only behind Nacho Novo
Goal contributions only really matter for midfielders or attacker, not really defenders.... unless you're Ronald Koeman. For defenders and goalkeepers, it's all about the clean sheet.
Incredibly humble, never got a red, one of the kindest souls to play the sport
I had a Kaka AC Milan top. He was a great player to watch when Serie A was a dominant league.

Ive had 7 hahaha My fav player to this day. My first jersey of his i won it in a bet with my uncle on PES 5.
A players contribution to the team goes beyond just goals
Kaká is the kind of player that you have to watch, not Just hear. I suggest to watch his highlights. It is amazing.
You should read his biography. He had a childhood injury that nearly prevented all of this. But yes, he was incredibly humble.
U need to watch a compilation of him
Kaka My Hero as a Kid. Didn't care about the Two GOAT's back then
I saw him play when I went to San Siro as a child, he was a fantastic player
Kaka will always remain a great that made football special beyond numbers.
Kaka made me fall in love with football. Brazilian boy with a smile on his face and flair at his feet.
I started supporting Real madrid at age 7 after i saw brazil play in 2010 world cup and i saw kaka got my first football jersey it was a blue brazil jersey with num 10 Kaka , after the world cup ended i wanted to support any club kaka would be playing it and it was Real madrid sadly aa mentioned in the video thats when his injury time started.
Kaká was rich, famous, good looking, in top physical form, a great father, a loving and faithfull husband and a chill, carismatic and humble guy. But his wife still divorced him - she said he was just too perfect. If that happened to him, it can happen to anybody
goals per season is usually how to measure a striker, but not the other positions in the field
the goal contributions are cool because if the player have them, it cannot really be "denied" but it doesn't means everything, it does not really apply to every position, it doens't take in account key passes, sometimes you can recognise a player is great because of how he creates opportunities by going running/passing/dribbling when and where to unlock defenses, even if it's not assists
Amazing video as usual ! You should react to every champions league final of the last 20 years if you want to continue to educate yourself it's really good there are some iconic matches in there👇👇

kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z6CJu7d_pMe0aLQ.html this one right here ! You can do the same with world cup finals later , and there is one with the semis also😅
Make a reaction about Shevchenko next
Now you need to watch some kaka highlights
Kaká was also a very inspirational person.
Generally goal contributions indicate a good player. Some players go beyond these stats though, one of these players is Andrea Pirlo I MASSIVELY recommend you react to pirlo.
Kaka is the reason I love the game
My favorite player
I know you have already reacted to Ronaldo Nazario, but please react to "exactly how good was Ronaldo Nazario" from Raymar, its another case of amazing talent destroyed by injuries

A great video, indeed
react to Roberto Baggio. If it wasn't for one penalty, he would've been remembered in the same way as we remember Diego Maradona.

Great Players often lose their careers to injuries, because they play in every possible game.
I grew up having Ronaldinho Barca and Kaká AC Milan shirts, I wouldn't have traded them for anything
I remember in middle school, I just discovered football but me and my friend found we both like football even though we suck at playing. We talked about our favorite teams and players, he mentioned Kaka, but I never heard of Kaka but ofc I think Kaka I think poop, so I joking said he must’ve sucked and he got so upset I didn’t know about Kaka and the many magicians of Brazil
11:52 he is!!!!!!!
yes he was fenomenal... and the best in the world... for a while...
Pls react to Eden Hazard you won't regret it
3:52 no because its not every player role to score
Have you checked out Andreyi Shevchenko?
Fun fact, Kaka is the only Brazilian international who comes from prosperous family and not from the streets
@LoaRicardo

I wouldn't say "the only", because there's also Raí, but.... Yeah, there's just a few
3:50 if they play some sort of attacking role....then yes, but for many midflelders, and of course defenders, goal contribution doesn't say much at all. But yeah, to be elite in the attacking front, a goal contribution even every 180 min is very very good.....we are just used to the insane numbers of Messi and CR7 so we are less impressed these days that's all.
Half of the clips are of R9 and Ronaldinho
The sad thing is that kaka and messi almost they didnt face each other.
Goal contributions per 90 is an American spin on football stats. It's not really a thing
The All-Star team once defeated Celtic.
React to an actual video of Kaka playing football. This video is not doing him justice.
My fav player ever... the one who made me fall in love with football and wanna play it. This video doesnt show a lot of him bro... there are better ones.
Day two of asking you to react to pogba
react to his highlights
Kaka is similar to D Rose, but he's definitely better. D Roses career (although not his fault) was somewhat disappointing, but Kaka is viewed much better than that
Kaka played in the best brazilian generation of all times that’s why he didnt get that awarded
another sad example of a brazilian player pratically losing his career because of injuries
you are way too obsessed with the stats
No, he was not
Not even close to Messi, and even Cristiano. Messi and Cristiano do this and even better in every game, not just every 5game maybe...he was on Xavi and Iniesta level.
