    Bit of context: Jack Merrit was a Cambridge graduate who devoted his life to help rehabilitate people in prison for violent offences. A guy he was helping was let out but committed a terror attack on London Bridge killing jack and another person. The media and politicians then used it to further their agendas which has led to more focus on long sentences as opposed to rehab - something jack was against. Windrush generation was thousands of migrants that were encouraged to come to the UK after ww2 to fill the workforce, but have become increasingly ignored as time has gone on. Grenfell was an apartment block that burned down killing 72 people. The fire spread because of flammable cladding on the outside of the tower. Cladding like that used to be used decades ago but regulations now require different, safer cladding, yet Grenfell was still covered in the old, unsafe cladding. The government, who are responsible for these buildings, have been accused of not properly maintaining them because the apartment was full of migrants and poor people (low priority).

    @crizzledizzle6146

    Grenfell goes deeper than that, it was government housing, meaning that it was there to help those struggling (mostly black and arabic families) and the cladding was put on the outside to make it look better so that those who were in offices didnt have to look at a big ugly concrete structure. It burned down and poor people lost their lives because of rich peoples doing. Poverty in the UK goes much deeper than black and white fam.

How can we call it great if people aren’t treated fairly and people who’s homes have been destroyed due to lack of care from the government ( grenfell in particular) can’t even find a place to call home now especially when he says the rehabilitation bar. Dave is special talent man, the truth is in his words, it might not be truth to others but it is to many including me and I’m a white British man but brother we speak the same language. The bar where he says equality doesn’t need credit is spot on. I had debate on this recently where on LinkedIn I saw loads of posts saying “x company announce 1st female ceo” or some shit and I put a comment saying why can’t we just say the persons name becomes CEO. When you put statements like this all you want is that positive attention but it feels forced and questions if it’s what the company really wanted. Equality is at its best when it doesn’t need recognition it’s just normal and the right to everyone, women, men, non binary, black, white, gay, straight or whatever. We all have our own lives and choices we make, we should be loving and supporting one another naturally not all this other shit going on which drives mental health through the roof. Anyway that’s my piece, stay safe everyone

    This had incredible power. The emotion behind his words can really be felt through his delivery. I'm not black, I'm a straight, white male. But even so you can tell he's really trying to convey how behind the UK is in terms of reparations for ancestors of slavery compared to the US, and we're still not doing enough. I love watching your videos, and while I can't empathize to what you've been through, or any of the black people I've met in my life have gone through, I'm hoping as our generation ages and starts to take more seats of power in the world real change can be made. As a white person I cant begin to imagine what black people go through on a day-to-day basis it's sad how we're still living in a world that's so full of hatred towards people that are of a certain ethnicity 😔 hopefully one day that'll all change but for now stay strong 👍🏻

    @Callum you're a blind fool mate. You think people don't experience racism? You dont think some places are far more racist than others? Seriously mate how can you even say that you need to open your eyes.

    Tell that to White Farmers in South Africa lmao. I agree with 99% of things Dave mentions here but everyone seems to forget the millions of white families/kids in the UK especially in the north who are dirt poor that the government doesn't give a fuck about. It's insulting to these people when Black folks say if you're white your instantly better off. It's the UK's ruling white-class vs everyone else. These people don't give a shit about working-class people whether you're black/white/purple/green. and yes, Boris Johnson is a racist as are many of these elitist cunts.

    Callum You don’t get to draw a line over other peoples’ reality. You do you, Boo, but you don’t know me so you don’t decide how hard or not my life is vs white counterparts. This ain’t about socio-economics. Listen to what Dave said about the way the media treats Duchess Meghan vs Duchess Kate. If you still get don’t it then Dave got a lyric for you too; “You’re never gonna get it”.

    Reaction to Lesley from Dave’s album. One of, if not the deepest song I’ve ever heard. He is a gifted lyricist/ writer/ actor/ rapper/ poet. The stories he tells are moving, powerful and relatable. Legend in the making at just 21 years old.
