Romania had to withdraw in 2016 because they had financial problems and weren't able to pay their contribution for participating that year unfortunately and were disqualified as a result of that. Love your Eurovision reactions, so please keep 'm coming! 😄

For the year 2019, you missed exactly the best song ever sung in the Eurovision contests and the most phenomenal and versatile female voice born on this planet. It is the voice of Laura Bretan, a voice born for opera, but which can sing any musical genre at a dreamlike quality. When Laura participated in Eurovision 2019, she was not yet 17 years old and the song is called Dear Father which was composed by the Romanian composer Mihai Alexandru ( kzread.info/dash/bejne/qmWCss9xaMzMnLg.html ). The rightful winner was Laura Bretan. At the age of barely 15, Laura could sing opera arias alongside professional opera singers ( kzread.info/dash/bejne/fq5olLJmm9jQp6w.html ).

Romania has been quite a mess lately, the disqualification for not paying contribution to Eurovision. National selection shows that seemed to be a scam. In 2023 they sent Theodor, only 18 years old. Officially they had 300.000 euro's budget(I think it was 300k) for the staging and all. But they told Theodor he had to pay for almost everything himself. Where did the staging and promotion money go? It is uncertain if Romania will participate in Eurovision 2024.
