exactly, knew a goalie who took a puck to the neck, it broke his collar bone but he finished the game before going home, only the enxt day did he realise he broke a bone, there tougher than this reactor for sure

Goalies are a little different in the head. Every single Goalie I have ever known is a odd human being. I guess you have to be to block a frozen rubber disc going 80+ mph by choice.

Seeing people react to hockey is always fun, having grown up playing it watching people realize how difficult it is, is really entertaining

12:52 This is gonna make me sound like a nerd but here goes... if you imagine a goalie in the net, there are five open areas they need to cover: 3 Stick/blocker side HIGHㅤㅤ🥅ㅤㅤ1 Glove side HIGH 4 Stick side LOWㅤㅤ5 Between legs and/or padsㅤㅤ2 Glove side LOW With that being said, there are three goaltending styles: Stand-up: When a goalie stands upright and blocks shots without dropping down (this style was used back in the day up until maybe the late 80s) Butterfly: When a goalie drops down to his knees to extend his legs, like the wings of a butterfly (this style is the most common in the NHL today) Hybrid: A mix of both. Goalies that don't heavily rely on the stand-up or butterfly style(s) are considered hybrid goalies. It's kinda like rock-paper-scissors... Stand-up protects the upper part of the net (which exposes the bottom part), butterfly protects the bottom part (exposing the upper part), and hybrid is a jack-of-all-trades. I hope all that makes some sort of sense 👍🏿
