Sisu is finnish truck company but also Sisu means something like you never give up even there is no hope or things look very bad.

When it comes to Finnish income, you don't have to worry about saving for your kid's college or stuff like that, as it's all tax funded. Also the public healthcare probably covers more than your trucker insurance would in USA.

The legal limit for the big trucks is 80kph but all of the trucks are limited to 90 kph so that is the speed that all of them are driving. I have never encountered a truck going under 90kph exept on a hill.

Also the numbers are all wrong. It is 50kph in a town and usually 40kph after that. 60kph and 30kph I have never seen in a town. SISU is a word that can be translated as stoic determination, tenacity of purpose, grit, bravery, resilience, and hardiness. In one word.

In Helsinki there’s several places where it is 30kph, but also 60 kph.

Jaa kyllä ite tulee ihan sitä 80-85kmh ajeltua, eikä kaikki ole rajotettu 90kmh, vaan osa on johonkin 85kmh

Not long ago there was a reality series (Rahdinmetsästäjät) on Finnish TV about some Finns driving trucks in the US. Some have channels here on YT also. There isn't any official definition as such for Sisu as a mentality, but here's couple of clips, which demonstrate it: "Finnish "Sisu" [PERKELE] *Higher quality*", "9 x Gold in 1 Games! Finland's Middle Distance Runner Paavo Nurmi | The Olympics On The Record ", "Exclusive Nalle Hukkataival Interview: The Lappnor Project | Climbing Daily Ep.912" and "DIVING INTO THE UNKNOWN - official trailer".

That video contains old information about the maximum allowed weight and length of the trucks. Nowadays it's 76 tonnes and 34.5 meters not 60 tonnes and 25,25 meters. These big trucks are called High Capacity Transports or HCT in short. I drive one of these beasts myself 😎

In Finland the salary minus tax is the payment that the hired driver gets. All of the expenses of the truck are paid by the owner. If I'm not mistaken, drivers in the States have to pay for diesel and such.

Stay with dispatching. Trucking is a hard job, stress is very common. It requires a very good marriage, many truckers get divorced. 48 K in salery, remember it's not normal to own your truck, like in the US. So the 48 K is pure income.

Search the Wikipedia for sisu. There's a quite good explanation.

You mentioned state to state travel. Just think of Finland as one independent state.

High quality asphalt roads???? WHERE???? Not in Finland! The roads are shit and you'll have to replace your cars suspension every 5 years.
