I don’t even think he used falsetto there. I think it was full or mixed voice, which is even more impressive tbh! His head voice, falsetto, and chest voice are so well-integrated that it’s hard to tell sometimes though (like Jeff Buckley). He’s phenomenal.

Thanks for your wonderful reaction. There is a great documentary about the UCLA choir and the Blue Devils marching band and how BTS incorporated different types of music for this song. They are changing the format. And I love that, making new styles and combinations of music. J-hope even does a punk rap song More. And for one awards show they did a live performance with a mraching band. 🔥 There wouldn't be Set Me Free without this song preceding it. It's so interesting how their music evolves. 🔥💜 For me its one thing to have back up dancers, but these guys are better than their backup dancers and that is just not how anyone else performs these days. Its like 7 MJ's with a little Prince thrown in. Wait until you get into the dance subunit the 3J 's. J-hope, Jimin and Jungkook. And Jungkook's voice is ridiculous. There is a reason he is the main vocalist. 😘💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🫰🏻

One of the things I love about BTS is that they've found a perfect balance between being realistic and being hopeful. This song is the 11th song in the album "Map of the Soul: 7". Before reaching this triumphant song, though, there are songs like "Interlude: Shadow" that talks about the dark side of fame and "Black Swan" that talks about their fear of losing their passion for music. (The contemporary choreography for Black Swan is beautiful, btw.) Other examples of this balance is their pandemic song "Life Goes On" that captures our fears and the uncertainties of the time, while offering hope of getting through it together. "Blue & Grey" talks about burnout, but has one line about one point in the future where they can smile. "Zero O'Clock" talks about days where nothing goes well but at midnight, the day always starts anew.

Just found you guys mad respect for realizing these fellas are masterful in the music game they have done their homework their research they know what music is and how he can heal and make you have a purpose. The musical style changes from album album never going to hear the same song twice or even the same setup or instrumental twice. I can't wait till you guys dive more into the rap line they're doing songs about depression and hope and lost and the feels that you want to have they have that that Master image of onomatopoeia inability to bring you a brown to understanding cognitive rhyme schemes and put you in a mindset of some old school rappers from the 80s and the 90s it's a beautiful matching of that stylistic r&b style and pop culture with that feverish rap flavor that makes you want to just dive and go deeper and on that there needs to go into cultural sounds. And we not even to bring in the funk fusion fusion the jazz fusion there's just so many layers to this group it's a beautiful drawing I'm glad y'all are doing it I wish more people where open minded to music. I was definitely suggest you guys listen to Mike drop most definitely, house of cards, tear, the cyphers, 134340, and dis-ease last but not least dope its what got me started liking them the song is epic but that dancing is a masterpiece. This was filmed in LA with dancers from The Lab an LA based group/studio, and used band from UCLA and a gospel choir. The coming together of different talents is what births great work. Jungkook (the youngest) was just fire with the high notes here, main vocalist and you’ll usually find him front and center in their formations. After a while you’ll get used to them. I know it was hard for me because they would look different every time I saw them, the hair style the hair color.

“On” a BTS song, came before “Set Me Free”, a Jimin solo song, just released, written by Jimin and reflecting solely his ideas. Group songs are more “contained” than individual projects, that showcase the single artist’s creative expression. Suga touches upon this notion a bit in segments of his talk show, Suchwita. 💜

@@tretvfrmdabx2544 The solo highnote was done by Jungkook. He is the MAIN VOCALIST and also the CENTRE of BTS which is why you see him at the center of the dance formations during dance practices and stage performances. A Centre in kpop is someone who gives balance to the performance and leads the intricate or powerful dance movements for a performance to flow seemlessly. You can Google what a center does in kpop for you to know more. The other members in BTS do come to the center to be highlighted when they're singing their parts but they move back to their position for Jungkook to assume his center position. Also the danceline are always infront because they do the hard choreos during dance breaks. The 3Js which comprises of Jhope,Jungkook and Jimin make up the danceline of BTS. You'll always find the 3Js mostly infront because they are the best dancers of the group. Jungkook is also at the Centre during photoshoots, red carpet events and press conferences etc. That is his official position in addition to being the Lead dancer and SubRapper as he used to rap in their earlier songs. His voice is insane as you can tell from that F5 highnote. He is the backbone of all the vocals in BTS elevating their songs with his adlibs, harmonies, backing vocals, highnotes etc,all these while also singing his own part. He even covers for the rapline when one of them is not available. He has covered for Suga and also Rm who were absent for a performance. Watch any BTS performance, you'll always see Jungkook with the Microphone backing the person singing, adlibbing and harmonising, even when he is not shown and he is in the shadows, you'll hear his voice in the background going off on the song and this is sometimes while doing hard choreography but you'll never see his voice wobble or shake. His vocal stability is unmatched and he does this because he practices singing while running on a treadmill. His Vocal technique, vocal agility and stability are insane. Reason why Fifa went all the way to South Korea to solely request for him at sing at the World Cup Opening Ceremony last year which he massacred and left no crumbs. This was why he was Spotify most streamed artiste last year. Reason why he just won Guinness World Record 2days for his Spotify numbers. Reason why he is the only Korean Artiste named in the 200 greatest singers of all time by Rolling Stone. Billboard Magazine called him a Vocal God. US Media called him a Vocal King. His impact is unmatched. BTS members are all very much talented and great in their artistry but Jungkook is unmatched and even all the members agree. Rm said and I quote "Without Jungkook, there will be no BTS" He also said on another occasion and I quote "Jungkook is the DNA of BTS" I believe Rm as the leader knows more that any fan or solo stan or whoever thinks they know best about BTS. For him to say this not once or twice means he knows what he is saying and he is NOT saying it lightly. Any video you want to know about Jungkook, select it from Ida S channel. Her channel is the best when it comes to informative videos about Jungkook. Watch Jungkook, King of Social Media to know about his mass impact on social media. This song is meant for their concerts . When they write and produce their music they have to ensure that they have songs that is upbeat for their concerts and shows and then music that will sound good for streaming etc . Kpop involves allot of live shows , concerts , television shows and competitions .. this is one of their songs visualised for their concerts and live television performances . They have to be strategic with their music .. u will find allot of their upbeat songs are tailored for concert performances and their B side songs are more for streaming .. its amazing how they compile their albums .. songs that one would skip when streaming is actually awesome when they perform live .. bts strength is actually their live performances , they sound better live than on track , no clue why that is but it is just so and their concerts are just the best .. michael jackson and beyonce are the two artists that have held the top positions for greatest live performers in history and then bts is added to that list of greatest live entertainers .. they are just outstanding . People become bts fans after watching a live performance because u can then realise that they are Superstar quality.

I just came from you reacting to “Set Me Free pt2” by Jimin and thanks for choosing it as your fave song. Now im here on your ON reaction. Yeah deffinitely Jimin is a fighter. He has been thru a lot since debut but look at where he is now. He just recently Topped Billboard Hot 100 for “Like Crazy”. Your fave dance part on this was Jimin’s leading the dance breakdown. Most of BTS iconic MVs have Jimin’s the “most replayed part”. Thats why he was called the 333 guy, 424 guy, Master of Opening, 111 Killer Part guy etc. Please watch more of Jimin’s amazing high notes compilation as being the counter tenor of the group. New subscriber here. Love watching your honest reaction.

It's Jimin with the unique tone mentioned in the documentary, the one who sang 'Set me Free',. BUT all 4 vocalist's have great falsetto's too. Jungkook (the youngest) is the one who hits the falsetto in this track. Great reaction!

Jungkook hits the falsettos. He's pretty amazing. Back in the day, their company brought them to California to get some more in depth into the American hip hop scene and really I think it started them on a deep dive to really look into other cultures more than some other groups do. You'll see them bringing in all sorts of global elements throughout their discography. You should look for those youtube videos. They were babies at the time, no english, still new to the industry.... and it was great to see all they learned through the experience. Anyway, he and V got some great lessons that I think really got them all to work hard to always improving their vocals. I think the documentary you referred to though was talking about Jimin's voice. His has this tonal quality that somehow is both delicate and powerful. It's just so unique.

Hello and welcome to the journey down the rabbit hole my friends! It's a wild and amazing ride! I started my trip about 6 years ago now and I have enjoyed every second of it! I have always appreciated good music, didn't matter what genre or even country it was from. I have been to so many concerts I would have an easier time naming those I haven't seen in my lifetime. 😂 I gotta say, though, that what I had been missing was an actual performance! Don't get me wrong I enjoy the singing talents and the rapping as well but at 44 years old I was missing the theatricality that used to be a part of the shows. These guys have it in spades! On top of sending such positive messages out into the world! I would highly recommend you react to Hip Hop Phile also known as Hip Hop Lover to kind of get a feel for how these guys are students of music! They have so many influences and pay homage to them. I really enjoyed your reactions and look forward to watching more. I am hoping to call you my favorite reactor soon! Borahae 💜 💜 🫰

They prepared this amazing song and dance along with all new material from their new album "7" for their World Tour. They actually debuted this song on TV on the Jimmy Fallon show at Grand Central Station in NYC. That's how i discovered them. But, you heard them, they said "Bring the Pain On". And guess what...they experienced one of their worst pains ever. They never performed this for a live audience. We were lucky we saw it on TV. They had to cancel their world tour. Why? Covid hit! Everything all over the world came to a complete stop. They were devastated. More Pain for this group who had already endured everything including death threats. But this was worse in their eyes. Performers who were not allowed to perform any more. They had been so busy preparing all these years...they had never experienced day to day life where you do nothing. Maybe prepare a meal. Do laundry. Also, the brothers were separated and isolated. Later we found out how hard it really hit them. Most of them did experience very painful depression. Because I am challenged with clinical depression... I understood. What you dont know is that it's very painful physically too. You brain hurts. Your body hurts. You ache all over. Luckily, they got help and managed through it and they all survived. Many wrote songs which prepared them for solo work. We have witnessed their solo talent. It's exceptional. They came out shining. 2 are presently serving in the mandatory service. Soon all will. So really the pandemic prepared them for what it would be like separated from each other. They vowed to make a comeback in 2025. No doubt they will!

I think you would appreciate Yet To Come Live. 2021, recent; w/ a choir for part of it, live instruments, & ft Anderson Pak (of Silk Sonic) on drums for a song. It was their collective "goodbye for now" to fans as the went into hiatus (for group work) & are focusing on solo/side projects, relaxing (first extended chill in 11 years!), & completing military service. So extra special. Shot in CA desert at an abandoned water park! 💜

Understand the performances you have watched are individually done. Done after what you are currently watching. "On" was a step up from previous work. So, you all are going backwards in time. Keep that in mind. See MMA 2019 performance. It's an award show.
