Fun fact. In the spirit of anpanman (not all heroes wear capes) this was performed during the height of the pandemic lockdowns to honor everyone who did what they could to help during that time like our frontliners. God bless BTS

Jhope has no bones and JK is dancing like his rent is due 🤣 Anpanman's head was made out of bread, so when the children were starvng he would give them a piece of his head to save them. So BTS are basically saying I won't be a flashy superhero , but I will save you in my own way. ❤️ 😘💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🫰🏻

Fun tidbit, RM didn't actually do a fake out (in that part where he went to help Jimin and Jimin rose up and started singing). If you look closely, RM mimes plucking out a piece of his head to feed Jimin and that's what gives Jimin strength to get up. They were basically acting out Anpanman taking a piece of his bread head to feed the hungry. I love the idea of BTS as Anpanman because they are just regular people who decided to show up for us every day. They sacrifice their time and health sometimes to give of themselves through music and other content. And through that, it has saved so many ARMYs' lives because they heard a song or speech or saw a funny episode of Run BTS or whatever on their lowest day. It's inspiring to think that you dont have to be anyone special to show up for others and help. You can be a hero to someone who needs it just by offering what little you can. It's also one hell of a fun track too. The live of this in concerts is so fun, dynamic and charismatic. They play around on the stage more than doing the choreo but it's so much fun to watch the wild antics and them interacting while singing the song. Sometimes Jimin would run away when it's time for RM to give him the anpan (bread) from his head and he'll either chase Jimin around, eat it himself, or give it to someone else. It's a good time.

Bts, once you start to get to know them, you will be impressed every time. Believe me, now you will not be able to stop loving them. I bet on this. You also did not see most of the known songs that belong to them. Please check'' So what ''and bts ''waste it on me ''savege love'' Also, many people don't know that it's also BTS, and the song "Who " by Jimin and Jungkook is addictive

at 9:00 when you paused - Jim actually has another line he sings. They often omit some lyrics, or change the tempo purposefully to disprove haters who constantly accuse them of not singing live. (because they sound so good)

I think Anpanman teaches us that you don't need to be a super hero. You can help people by just giving a piece of yourself. Whether its just helping with simple things like lending an ear or giving your time to someone it can make a difference.

I like when Jimin didn't sing a line of the song to kind of show they are singing live. Haters like to accuse BTS and other KPOP artists for not singing live so they sometime won't sing a part of the song. Suga did that in mic drop I believe. You are right that they will change the choreo a little bit like here they didn't do the nene'ish move. What makes BTS stand out for the rest is their charmisa. They are focus on the choreo but just vibing and expressing. BTW, I think they did the stanky legs at the end?

They did like 20 different performances for dynamite during the pandemic where they couldn't do live performances, and every one of those performances was something new! They are always making sure to surprise us, even with the same songs 😊💜

The part you highlighted @ 6:56 is RM pretending to break off a piece of his head (made of bread 😉) & gives it to Jimin, who then sings 'waiting for you Anpanman' the bread rejuvenates him, so he has the energy to get up again. Anpanman is a fictional character made of bread who breaks off pieces of himself sacrificing himself to feed those who are hungry, he then goes back to his bakery to rebuild himself so he can do it all over again. The song highlights the message about those who do good & make sacrifices to help others, and the fact that you do not need to be a super hero to do good, be kind or help others. It is also a really really fun song with a great message!

♦️Have you guys looked at the always so important, meaningful, inspirational lyric translation for this song? Even the choreography is connected to the lyrics. Anpanman is a comic Japanese superhero that has bean-cake bread head. Other then that he has no super hero abilities. But he sacrifices his own bread head to feed hungry starving kids, sacrificing himself while doing so. Jimin is one of the kids when after all members collapse, Jimin reaches out to get fed. The lyrics basically are saying that one doesn’t need to be. ‘Super hero to have compassion, & help others! Interestingly enough, many songs that have the deepest meaning are outwardly seemingly light hearted and fun! Jimin in their live concert performances. Even became mischievous and instead of staying out when collapsed on floor to wait for RM, snuck to far opposite side of stage, so RM had to find him to have that interaction with him! During live performances one never knows what to expect from BTS because they always change things up. Each performance is totally worth seeing, never gets old! I highly recommend you make a point if looking eng lyric translation. Even looking for what the actual comic super hero Anpanman looks like! @@tdb471 - Totally agree! Hopefully a live one from concert that has added the ever so important eng subs! There is no MV for this song though. If they don’t find a safe to react to live performance with Eng subs, then hopefully in future they start make a point of first watching an eng lyric vid. When it comes to BTS one of the main reasons for many, why BTS mean that much more to them are always their so meaningful, inspirational lyrics. Plus even as I mentioned, the choreography is always connected to the lyrics expressing the meaning all the more through dance! There is such meaning and purpose to just about everything BTS as well as individual members do! But interestingly enough I see more comments raving about someone’s bias which is fine, in itself, but neglecting to mention or leave info that will help newer reactors (perspective new army) appreciate BTS that much more aside from their amazing artistry, vocals, rap abilities, ability to dance, but also some of the most amazing heartfelt, emotional, meaningful inspirational lyrics they write, as well as the concepts & themes, like to “never give up on your dreams” or to learn to “love yourself”they themselves (quite often RM who does or did in past 80% of writing) things that have made an impression or influenced and inspired them such as from books, or novels, art, etc, there is so much more to BTS! but reading some comments it feels like it’s become a ‘competition’ on how their bias or biases is the best! I’ve been ARMY for over 2 years now, accidentally stumbling onto them (must have been living under a rock). No matter how many times I go to a song via a mv, dance practice, many live performances, or even just reading or listening, BTS never fails to disappoint and I am oftentimes pleasantly surprised by something I heard or seen that I missed before.💜

This is like a theme song for everyday people. It tells you that even regular you, who live an ordinary life, don't have any superpowers, money, or extraordinary talent still matter and can be a hero for someone just by doing your simple work and being present. I love this song, cause its message is so simple and so true, but so often is overlooked, cause we pay attention to flashy things, and extraordinary events and achievements. And forgetting that there is a huge strength and power in consistency, reliability, and simple living a good, simple life. BTS making a fun song out of critical social commentary is such a BTS thing to do. BTS see themselves as anpanmen who are able to make an impact their own way, just by living their life. And like you do it too in your own way. We all have our own kind of power, we just need to realize what it is and how to use it.

I’ve been requesting this song as well for awhile: ❣BTS "HIP HOP LOVER" [ENG SUB] LIVE by Bangtan's Corner. This one has the ever so important meaningful eng subs on screen! This totally hype performance, had live hard core rock band accompaniment during this tour, was my fav performances of both this & Tomorrow, from BTS 2015 HYYH On Stage performance in Japan. You guys HAVE to watch Bapsae next ...there's no music video so there's a dance practice, a live concer in Japan and you have to watch the DKDKTV explained video to understand the lyrics which are a lot deeper than you think..for example, Anpanman is important because they are celebrating ordinary superheroes like the people who feed us, nurses, doctors etc.

Yes, but ordinary ppl, not necessarily doctors, but anyone including you or I, who re more compassionate, understanding, supportive and helpful, to others! Even doing the smallest thing but for someone else can indeed make a bid difference! Anyone can become super heroes, thinking of others, volunteering, or just anything.

Anpanman was written way before the pandemic in 2018, but as far as ppl in the medical field during the pandemic, to me I do regard them as indeed the real super heroes in the world! I hold them in the highest esteem imaginable! All the beyond belief self sacrifices they made even now bring tears to my eyes! To me it’s hard for me to categorize them as “ordinary” ppl! But yeah ordinary ppl hopefully can & will aspire to be just like them and be able or willing to make that many self sacrifices such as they did and have, just not sure if in general everyone can, which is also understandable. But to me, personally, I put them above “ordinary”, because, yes, I do hold them in that high regard, 🙏😔🙌❤️‍🩹🫡

The comment above also said “this specific performance happened during pandemic” We are not meaning that this song was written only for doctors or that it was written during the pandemic.
