In the very beginning he says, "genuine Frankenstein, I made a monster." Frankenstein's monster was sewn together with a bunch of body parts from different people, just like Ren stitched together all these different flows into one song. Also, just FYI, Ren always pins the lyrics in the first comment on his videos. Can't wait to see what you do next!

Check out Sick Boi, Losing It, Genesis, Power, Illest of Our Time, Chalk Outlines, How to Be Me, and Money Game 1 and 2 - all great Ren gems! Also - the Tale of Jenny and Screech (full), which is an amazing story-telling trilogy. He has a huge catalog of great songs, which are all pretty different! He's in the UK here. Every song he does is different, almost. Beastie Boys vibe is insane in his song "What you want".

Yep. You’re in it now! I highly recommend “Chalk Outlines” for yet another side of Ren. Also worth noting that most of his newer videos (but not this one) are one-take live recordings and you can tell if you watch and listen carefully. He is able to deliver amazing live performances on camera with little to no editing or overdubs.

I feel like this is both a love letter to rap, and Ren showing the influences that brought him up.

If you really want to see his talent at top level. It's a Man's World with Sam Tompkins busking on Brighton High Street. Amazing

I think the green and red flares are to represent his Welsh heritage (Welsh flag is green and red) He was born and raised in Wales and moved to Brighton in England.

He picked this exact location bc in 90s rap videos or hip hop graffiti was all over the place. The jacket he wore is the same aspect. He's a true student of the game and always try to show respect to the ones before him.

That was the song that introduced me to Ren's rapping talent and it absolutely blew me away 🤯 the flowswitches, alliteration, clever bars- the only thing that sucks is, that the song isn't longer 😂 Edit: this is a random site I the UK. It's actually where they found the wheelchair for Hi Ren as far as I know

It's an empty lot in Ren's hometown of Brighton, on the south coast of England; almost all of his videos were filmed somewhere around the city. (Ren was born in Wales but has lived in Brighton for many years.)

I can't wait t watch you react to his other stuff. The Tale of Jenny and Screech ( 3 songs doe altogether in order), Chalk Outlines, Sick Boi, What You Want and his band The Big Push doing I Shot The Sheriff/Road To Zion/Hiphop are good songs to do next 😊

He uses so many different styles across genres and yet it is uniquely him still. Ren is absurdly talented and skilled! He's super cool and chill too. He usually checks out reactions to his music.

The deeper you go into Ren's art and personal story, the more you understand his lyrics. He rose to his feet on the streets, sharing his messages, music and art as a busker after being sick for a decade. Watch the messages in the lyrics and images. The pig features in Money Game. The location I believe is a disused area of Sussex beach, possibly Newhaven, close to a dock, that's unsafe due to unstable cliffs and tides. Our Ren is a creative genius, multi talented and a very nice chap. It's brilliant he is being supported by you guys. I hope you come to love him as much as we do in the UK x

Fair and yeah I can see Beastie Boys influence. As crazy as it sounds, I hear Dr Seuss type rhyme schemes from Ren. Still suggesting “Sick BOI” as a more recent rap product from Ren. They found the wheelchair here for his Hi Ren video. Ren definitely has studied music and history. From Rap to Rock to Reggae influences. Every genre and throwbacks in lyrics his music is deep and you got to hear a few times to pick stuff up. His Rabbit hole is so good and doesn't disappoint. Great reaction guys 👍👍

As a reactor, i can confirm that you are the best reactor.

Wait to you here him sign sign. But you should do his trilogy. Jenny, screech, and violets tale in that order. Ren likes to rap, but that is not where his talent shows the best in my humble opinion. Personally, I like his stuff he does with his band THE BIG PUSH. But that's the beauty of Ren, he does so many different styles. You never know what you will get. My personal favorite is his song, HOLD ON.

The Smoke flares represent the Welsh flag colours :)

Talking about colors at 5:55. It's also Red, Black, and Green, or R.B.G. which can translate to Revolutionary But Gangster that comes from Dead Prez, which is a group that REN has covered songs of in other videos.

I'm so glad you guys reacted to this song, very perceptive, you're ears did not deceive you, while it's almost impossible to nail Ren down to one specific genre, he for sure has huge love for old school true hip-hop. There's a lot of great suggestions from other comments, and honestly, while I have my favs, I haven't heard a bad track from the man yet. But if you want to stay with the old school hip-hop vibe, I would check out "What Ya Want" It pays direct homage to the Beastie Boys, down to the outfits, the fish eye lens, and him and some friends acting a fool on the streets of Brighton England, his home town. Also he plays with a band called The Big Push, they have a busker video (Busker = U.K. slang for playing on the streets for tips) where they do a mash up of Bob Marley's "I Shot the Sheriff"/ Damion Marley ft. Nas "Road to Zion" / Dead Prez "Hip-Hop" that is so next level fire, it will melt your faces off...lol. Hearing this beat I can think of no other than Tackhead's Ticking time bomb.

If I remember correctly, this is just some random spot they found while driving around looking for a place to film this video, and they were done in like 15 minutes. it was shot somewhere in the UK most likely somewhere around Brighton.
