This story is getting more f'd up as it goes so can only imagine what part 3 be like, especially if the theory that ren is only really in Sam's head is true

You've got to follow along the story with Pt 2 now. I asked on one of Ren's live streams. He said Pt 3 is there already, just up to SAM to choose to release it.

You really need to get an interview with Sam and Luke. That will be a fantastic insight in to the video making process. Do it buddy!!

Dude, you HAVE to do Children Of The Moon. It's an early one. I don't know who filmed it. But, it's in an old horror film style. You will ABSOLUTELY love it.

For me, the blue light behind Sam represents good, like Sam himself knows he should be making good decisions, and the red light behind Ren represents bad! Like Ren's not really there but representing the little devil on his shoulder having him make bad decisions!! Great reaction, Joe E!! And it prob goes without saying that part 2 is a must! 😊

The blue has a green tinge too. And now that i think about it, the red/green shows up in many of Ren’s newer videos. Red light/green light in Losing It. Red/green smoke in The Hunger. Animal Flow uses red and green all over the place.

@@FusedAndLovingItwow - I am going to go back and look at those vids - never noticed that before . This is the beauty of creations of Ren and Sam ( perry and Tompkins )that attention to detail. Or as Ren puts it - he likes to leave little Easter eggs for us to find.

Love learning more about the way some of the effects are acheived and how they subconsciously impact production and the way you relate to the music. Plus, Ren does a good job at being a bad influence. This is especially fun precisely because it's Ren and Sam.

I never noticed before, their track suits are same colors as the lights behind them.. I'm assuming that's intentional.. interesting. Thank you. I'm catching things I normally don't see.. I think I'm catching everything but nope apparently there's more...lol😂

Part 2 offers some explanation as to what was going on in part 1. Makes you reevaluate what you saw in the first one.

Thank you for your enlightened reaction Joe! You mentioned the twist you should be expecting, and it is easy to miss. Watch the last seconds again when the camera moves away from Sam into a sort blackness, you may notice it keeps moving for a while, until there is something to see just for a moment. It is inconclusive as such, but it is there for a reason. Otherwise Ren X Sam Tompkins What Went Wrong part II will hammer it home. :/

The different color lights follow the characters throughout the video even in the car crash under the car is redish and thats where ren is and the calmer character sam has the bluish in the car.

Love it, thank you for highlighting the lighting situations. I would never have thought twice about it... or really noticed.

When you were analyzing the lighting in the scene when they are getting into the car you missed the distinct shadow Ren was casting on the wall behind him indicating a lightsorce left of camera illuminating them both...

I really love seeing what you notice. It's like when a magician shows you how a trick is done.. because all of this really matters: it sets the scene, it leads our feelings and teams up with the music and the imagery itself to make the whole. It IS magic. I wonder if this is why Ren likes to make one shots, even though it sometimes requires a lot of takes, because even if you don't know or don't consciously notice, somewhere your brain is noticing there are no cuts, and that is having an effect. Let me ask you a question: do you think one takes have a subtle effect in that they keep the viewer from looking away? Is it like the visual equivalent of having no full stops, so the viewer just stays focused?

Thought this was gonna be a behind the scenes... gonna watch it 1st... I'll be back!

wow, I just learned something new about videos and someone being in charge of the colours!!! like really?? ahaha friggin amazing! and thanks to that, I realized the color choice for both backgrounds and clothing, depending if it's Ren or Sam. Has anyone else noticed??? Ren wears all red and Sam's is in blue as their background lightning. Ren surely represents the bad side/ "evil" in reds like the red apple or red riding hood or temptation or sin... and blue like Heaven, good, peace and Alice in Wonderland's dress... And also, when Ren starts convincing Sam about not being a pussy over his head we can see written in the poster in the wall "Animal behavior"

Omg - you are right - it does say Animal Behaviour. That passed me by till you mentioned it . And you nailed it on the lighting /clothing colour too . This why the comments and reaction videos add such a deeper appreciation for the work . I have watched the original several times over the past few months and never noticed any of these details . Yup, a colorist in film production is very common!!! Since I'm a one man band, it's another part of the production I had to get a good handle on...I still feel like an amateur at it🤦🏾‍♂️

You REACT to videos. While is is technically possible to gang it all up at the end, it makes MUCH more sense to stop as needed to point out your observations. Still love the fact you actually focus on LIGHTING. I noticed Ren's chair had a red light behind it in the apartment (representing bad ideas?). Such a good message with this one.
