Do you like Huey Lewis & The News? Their early work was a little too 'new-wave' for my taste, but when 'Sports' came out in '83, I think they really came into their own - both commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor. In '87, Huey released this, 'Fore', their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is 'Hip to Be Square', a song so catchy most people probably don't listen to the lyrics - but they should! Because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the band itself!

It was very dishonest of the studio to pretend it was a sequel to that film, that's all. I'm sure some critics would have given it a weak recommendation if it wasn't being forcefully compared to the classic original film.

Hard to believe this movie had a budget of $10 million, indie movie producers can create something superior, with not even a quarter of that budget.

XD This is on the same level as I Always Knew What You Did Last Summer kind of disdain, and I'm both sorry they had to sit through these messes, but am also so thankful for the commentary! Fun fact, William Shatner tends to overact in projects he knows are bad, he used to do that in some of the less desirable Star Trek episodes as well

I think in general the idea of multiple hosts is really smart. As the Kill Count as a project grows its more manageable to divvy up the work, and creatively new things can be brought by those new people. I just hope the Chelsea and Zoran counts have been successful enough that the team feels comfortable bringing the idea back, either with those two or even with other guest hosts.

The dude patting the bed in time with the goofy music as he's being strangled with a condom is honestly the best part of this movie

God you just KNOW chealsea was so excited to call James her husband, the way she emphasized it

What pisses me off is the second kill. Patrick Bateman at no point is mentioned to know how to cover up a crime scene, like he has enough sense to know to protect surfaces when he first kills. This woman is attending school for the FBI, and she never puts on gloves, never tries to cover up anything, barely even tries to hide the body. I’m not even studying crime and I know this stuff!!! (Please note: I do watch a lot of mystery shows.)

I actually saw this movie way back when Netflix streaming was just movies you’d never heard of. I was a That 70s Show fan and had a massive crush on Mila Kunis, hadn’t even seen the original. I weirdly credit this movie for converting me into a horror fan. It was the first drop in the eventual flood. Sidenote: I’m not the only one loving Chelsea’s hair, right?

For anyone curious, while it never got a conventional full sequel, there does exist follow-up material to the American Psycho novel, exploring the later life and eventual death of Patrick Bateman. This includes American Psycho 2000, a story told through a series of e-mails written to promote the first movie, and Lunar Park, which seems to be some kind of meta story in the vein of Wes Craven's New Nightmare, involving Patrick Bateman interacting with the author of his books, Brett Easton Ellis.

the only time i definitely don’t take seriously the “kill counts are never meant to replace the experience of watching the film” line. i feel in this case, i can pass on actually watching the movie with y’all’s blessing.

I'm disallowing this to be a sequel to the masterpiece of the first American psycho DISSALLOWING IT

I'd love to see where you Zorin and James each pick your favourite movie from a trilogy and then cover your favourite. I just love how everyone's doing Kill Counts now it's great, and gives James some time to focus on BUSINESS!!!🙌

With only 2 episodes I can say Chelsea solidified her spot and personality on the Kill Count, like Zoran did. I hope we get more stuff like this, where Zoran covers kind of obscure movies and Chelsea dissects old classics

Hey, yeah! That could work! James covers modern movies aside from odd exceptions like Mortal Kombat, Zoran does the weird and obscure like Gingerdead Man or Critters, and Chelsea does the older movies like the Alfred Hitchcock Psycho!

This is literally the year of Chelsea and I’m not complaining. she is literally killing it between the podcast, her voice over work and both of her kill counts that tbh changed the game. I cannot WAIT to see what else she does ✨🥰

This is one of my favorites movies of all time, it made me laugh so much, especially the scenes with that amazing stupid song

As much as I love James running the Kill Count, I hope we continue to see ones hosted by Chealsea and Zorrin. I've really enjoyed these counts. And I love that everyone has their own style of humor.

If there's another series I'd like to see Chelsea do it would probably be The Human Centipede Trilogy since she is one of the few who enjoys and Appreciates those films And also the author of the American psycho book said that this film wasn't canon so thats good
