This map is kind of like having Thailand as part of Japan in a WWII map. Because in the Fallout Universe Mexico is a client state of the US not officially a part of it. Probably because that would be a bad idea but I digress.

when you compare canada and mexico canada is a much safer choice for annexasion since cultures are similar enough, whiles mexico, has, signifigantly more people than canada, and their culture is very different from north american english (plus cartels)

Are cultures are so alien to each other it’s just not compatible, Catholicism and protestantism don’t mix well at all, Such a union would bring back the question of secularism and possibly start another Cristero war. Then you have no idea what pre-war America was like at all. Did you not see the start of Fallout 4? Not to mention the insane inflation where a cup of coffee and a dount is 30 bucks. Even in the Cinematic start of Fallout 1 shows a regular car marked at 150k. America was the only country on Earth that wasn't already in anarchy because of they oil they had in Alaska. 76 had massive problems with the workers being phases out with robots and with West Virgina already being the poorest state in the US that only made thing worse. All regions you find yourself in showed problem's they had pre war. Even if the US didn't get nuked that virus you see in point lookout would sweep through America.

Average, “healthy”, inflation at about 2-3% a year, from today would get us to $30 donuts and $150,000 cars. Remember, 54 years ago in 1970 gas was 36 cents compared to ~$3.50 today. So inflation in Fallout is pretty accurate to real life, surprisingly enough.
