I hope they didn't cut up an original AAR Cuda. I love hemis but a shame to do that to an original. I raced my 70 440+6 Cuda on the street more than the strip. Bad ass mopars rule.

Actually the round tail lights were on '72 - '74 cudas. I too always liked the round ones. My neighbor had a '74 that was bad ass. If I ever win the lottery I would get that year! 👍

Reply to: moparnutjim FYI - That 70 AAR Cuda was a mint original AAR model (340 six pack 4 speed), it was backhalfed, tubbed, 8.50 cage, and a big inch Hemi was added. Tim Banning (FHO) built the car and Harry bought it a few years later. He's made a few changes throughout the years, one of them is that hood and scoop combo.

that cuda has a awesome stance to it,love the oversized hoodscoop,maybe ill try to make it for the wheelstanding event but I realy wanted to go to the summer thunder that was couple months ago.

all mopar engines make a bazillion ft lbs of tourqe at 1500 rpm---------- all the way unill you decide you want to shift it into the next gear 8k or even spin them to 9 k they dont blow up like the other engines of other cars they are made really tough just try it with a ford or chevy engine youll see they start breaking up at 6 1/2k rpms

those hemi heads really open up and breath at those high RPM's like no other engine. The mustang I bet weighs 400 less then the cuda.

witnesszer0 you never heard of the 427 cammed or the boss 429 or maybe your in fantasy land. the 427 sideoiler won the 24 hours at LeMans. Mopar never made a engine that would hold together for an endurance race like that.

AAR. Cuda s Stock came with the mighty 340. Fiberglass hood with a scoop that sealed around a large air filter stripe package Hemi had to of been installed at a later date. Either motor they were fast

Mopars were Big Brutes! That Mustang is not so much of a brute.

mothertree maybe you need to rewatch the video. the 'cuda trapped at 157 and the mustang trapped at 153. by my book, that mustang was getting gapped all the way down Broadway

Yes optical illusion as the shutoff area goes uphill. 1/4 mile is 100% level.
