Disliking the video, simply because you don't like the dog is stupid. The brotha puts in a lot of work to bring people this content. Regardless of what your feelings on this dog are, Zeke brings people great content that you can't find anywhere else. The dog ain't my thing, but the video was dope and interesting. Respect

The farther dogs stray from nature's idea of "canine", the more problems go along with it. This never varies. The dog pays in one way, the owner pays in other ways, the vets have to try to compensate for what no one wants to really discuss, the trainers have to tell the truth.

Oh great more breed mythology... Anyone who has working dogs knows bigger is far from better. Besides folklore and breed mythology what type of health testing or working test were done in this "program?" Any vids that show any type of working ability or athletic ability to prove this is not a Low Energy dog with poor structure and movement? Which is typical of most of the dogs used to create this mixed breed. Taking big breeds with a laundry list of health problems due to breeding them for size and bragging about making them even bigger is actually below novice stuff. This dog has nothing to do with any ancient dogs. It a large dog created from current mastiff stock.

That's also what jumped out at me. He keeps invoking the idea that this breed is from 3200 - 5000 BC There's no way of knowing exactly what dogs used in war were like, we have some sparse pieces of art with dogs on it, that’s far from precise knowledge. He’s looking at old paintings and sculptures and making his dog feel prestigious rather than looking at what’s the closest representative (mastiffs and the like). It’s also a big red flag to me when these large dog breeders obsess over size, like living vicariously throughout their dogs. They needed "really thick torso, massive square head", to fight humans in war and have to take on lions & bears. Really? They need to get to be 250lbs to take on an animal that’s 450lbs, or 1000lbs? How do wolves, jackles, hounds take down prey, huge size or pack hunting? I’m not a dog expert by any stretch, tell me if I’m wrong but my BS meter is going off the charts with this guy.

Orthopedic issues, bone cancer and life expectancy would be a good start when breeding for extreme size. Some breeders on this channel are very responsible; these Bully and "extreme/exotic" breeders as they call themselves never say a single word about health testing - and theyre the ones who need it the most.

I have a big dog and I LOVE big dogs. This is a little excessive. I can't imagine this dog living more than 6,7 years. I can imagine its knees already popping and creaking when he stands up. The highly probable health issues outweigh having a big dog. Lastly, He's a mutt, not an "ancient" breed. You can try but you will never truly be able to recreate them.

One litter of mixed breed puppies doesn’t make a new breed. He simply has a cross breed or hybrid dog. You only have achieved a new breed when those dogs can mate with each other and produce litters that exhibit the breed characteristics. For example, breeding two Yorkiepoos doesn’t produce a Litter of Yorkiepoos.

This is great, I use to breed these many years ago under a different name. Mine had the same color. I had a 180 pound female that could leap a 6ft fence without touching it. She had amazing confirmation, and at 30 inches tall, she looked like a giant Cane Corso, and had the same attitude. She looked like a horse running, and could actually outrun and take down deer. Most of my others looked thicker, and were not as quick, but were longer lived than English mastiffs, and had few health problems. The best way I have found is to use a cross between a Neo and Cane Corso female, with a huge muscled set of hips. The Cane Corso puts far stronger hips into the breed. Then use a massive English Mastiff with with the type of big hips, and the thick head and chest. These are hard to find now, but their are still some in Texas. When you put these together you have the actual old type fighting Molossus. Please note, the Cane Corso is the oldest unbroken Molussus breed, that dates all the way back to the Roman Empire. The Neo is only a few hundred years old, and split in an attempt to breed larger types, but about 70 years or so, more types of Mastiff blood was introduced making the Neo what it is now. I prefer they Neo of the 1940's before the breed was tinkered with. This is why I say to breed in a Cane Corso of powerful type. Inside that Cane Corso is the size, athletic ability, and temp you need. Look at my Cane Corso Lobo, already 170 pounds of massive muscle and drive. This is what you need.

As always I loved the video. I have deep respect for OLD WORLD, and watched his work with neo's over the years with admiration. I think the Tibetan Mastiff and Caucasian Ovcharka are potential examples of breeds with ancient molossus background. I like the short coat and more reliable temperaments of the parent breeds of the A.M. much better. Size and look alone are deterrents for bad guys. I hope they look only to preserve innate molosser-type breed temperament protection abilities, as opposed to trying to harden or sharpen that. I love and respect all molosser type breed descendants and have spent 35 years specifically studying, working with, and promoting these breeds. I'm an activist on the front line fighting b.s.l. and hope we all never fuel the fire already burning against us. I love the stated goals and intent here, as well as the humility and desire to produce quality over quantity. God bless these breeders. REV. CLINTON NUSBAUMER ✌️

Most of you in the comments complaining about the faults in the dog need to learn more about breeding. This is one of the first puppies of a new breed. Instead of bashing it, give advice. Also, it takes a while for a breed to develop. The problems in the breed show what needs to be improved. This is just the first wobbly steps. I’m sure the breed will be modified in future programs. Idk, adding a Fila Brasileiro into it or a tosa Inu, both well balanced dogs, would probably aid it.

To all the people who are saying this dog is unhealthy and won't live long and doesn't look right... remember the focus of this is that these are still PUPS. They're 9-10 months old and still growing, so they are walking and frolicking like puppies. As for me, I'm excited that they've bred selectively to produce these magnificent dogs similar to the ancient ones. I would love to have a couple myself and I hope all the best for this breed.

No ancient dog looked like these. Ancient molossers looked like today's Cane Corso, Presa Canario and Alano Español. These are modern freaks created in the late 20th century. They did not exist before ca the 1970s. They are mutts made from two breeds from what I can see - Neo and English mastiff. They are incredibly unhealthy breeds with a lifespan of about 6 years, and that is when breeders are in registries that force them to health test their animals. This puppy mill does not such thing, at least makes no mention of it on his website. I bet his puppies will live an average of ~4 years, and that is being generous.
