It was shocking when he didn't win even though he won the three rounds. He won people's hearts either way and that's what matters.

There just are no words to describe how rare a voice like this is. David Archuleta can make you cry every time he sings. He's magic.

He definitely should have won the competition

He didn't need the title of winner. Everyone knew he had the best voice and a beautiful soul. He continues to enchant everyone with his voice and presence. Truly one of the top voices of his generation.

He helped me through the roughest times of my life including when I got bullied everyday at school. Then losing my grandmother to cancer a few days or month after I graduated and went into a deep depression. But listening to archuleta helped me alot through it and still does.

He's one of those rare artists, who is able to awake all kinds od emotions. He's much, much more than a Singer and performer. There are mamy good singers, but he's simply unique.

I haven't seen these video's for years and as I watch them today. I still think he was the best of that season. No disrespect to David C. But, David Archuleta has proven by a shadow of a doubt that he is a very rare very blessed young man that God has more plans for him. He is a Christian and he demostrates his faith in God in all he does. Geez this little guy can sing like an angel. He didn’t need to win, because they already had him signed to a contract. Most of the time the best singers don’t need the publicity to make the dollars for the music producers, so they have the secondary singers win to boost their popularity.

Plus even Simon was always complementing his performances , and Simon hardly ever did that unless he knew the person could actually sing like really good.

David, I have always loved you. I love you still; I love you even more!

I still think to this day that he has one of the most beautiful voices to ever be on American Idol. It's a shame he lost to Cook.. Archuleta was head over heals better than Cook in every aspect. But I guess that's how American Idol has always been.. almost every year the best singer comes in second for some reason.. Also why I stopped watching the show.

+xxladybug94 Pia Toscano was the best vocally of season 10, but she had no stage presence. Scotty was a good singer, he wasn't amazing like Pia and he had no stage presence. If I were to pick the finale for Season 10 it would be Haley Reinhart and James Durbin.

Agreed. I remember this night like it was just last night. I kept dialing that number over again as much as I could before the results came in. And remember crying when I found out archuletas name was not called out on the card I was so sad and cried myself to bed had to have my parents comfort me .oh the good old days.

He is still singing and a Super star 🌟. Amazing looks an talent!

STILL the best EVER!

I was witness to his first audition, and feel in love with his unique tone, that raspy quality that I love. Then watched each of his performances and voted my a** off to help him win. Unfortunately, he came in second, to another David. The one performance I missed was his first singing of," Imagine". I had to go to the store, so I set the DVD recorder, but something went wrong and it cut out before the middle of the song. I had to piece together all the segments of the replays to get an idea of the whole performance. Bottom line: I like this guy's vibe/style, he's got that, "Je ne sais quoi" about him, that grabs my attention. And his impressiveness hasn't waned yet. Wish him all the success in his career. 💪🏻😆👍🏻🌈💖🧠🎶 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶💥💥💥💥💥💥💥

I'm a great big Archuleta fan. It still troubles me why he didn't win, when clearly he was the most talented. His voices is without question far above his age and maturity. The shear control his has with his voices is absolutely amazing. Very few adult artist can do what he does, and at the ripe old age of sixteen, its amazing. One of the things that shows like this lets us know, is that, there are out there thousands of young people who are far more talented them what the commercial recording industry know about. I'm so proud of David. He will probably never reach the to a commercial star status, which the recording puts out everyday, but that's o.k.. That's not what he's looking for, nor what he wants. But yet its a damn shame that they can't find room for him without changing who he is, and what he stands for. David Archuleta is a fine, and good man who actually stands for something, he is a man who actually has a heart for people, to do good, and wants to live his life well, and as a example. My hat is off to him. The truth of the matter is that David Archuleta puts a smile on my face. And I'm actually happier and better off for his existence. God truly bless him. I know I do !

When David didnt win American idol. I stopped watching it. And then came Alejandro Aranda. They are so similar in so many ways. I absolutely admire them both.
