Having a child is like watching the last of your innocence being deposited in a tiny vessel. That's why we protect them so dearly, why losing them leaves us in total darkness.

Which has gotta be crazy cuz Fiona felt her powers growing less as the baby got bigger and then was born . And when we meet Fiona in coven she’s a force to be fought with so I can’t imagine what her powers where like before she got pregnant also this just confirms her being supreme yes she took it kinda shady as Anna Leigh was not dead Fiona probably was 17-18 and had time to wait for Anna Lehigh to die off . But I mean the councils made her do the seven which she passed and if there was another rising supreme in the coven at fionas time . Then she would have rose at the same time Fiona killed an a Leigh thus we would know Fiona was not the next supreme also Fiona is the only witch ever to have her descendent directly anyways be the next supreme so fionas got some powerful ass DNA.

I don’t get that line was it a her being kind cuz that’s how she is or was she mocking her? Also with her daughter now the supreme yes it was sketchy AF how Fiona took her own crown but it was clear she was the next supreme as she passed all 7 wonders plus had extra powers like bubbles and nan and misty did Fiona had the power to put images of. Fiction into minds of others and while yea she killed Anna Leigh before her time Fiona pretty much was next and Delia becoming the supreme proves it she’s the only known spawn of a supreme meaning Fiona was powerful AF meaning Cordelia most likely should have made a deal with papa legba to bring Fiona back during apocalypse then take her back to hell with him cuz let’s be real Fiona would have we spied Michael up in a hot second plus I also think Fiona is strides stronger then Malory she’s just extreanly self severing where as Malory is there to only do good and learn Fiona could have been extremely useful to her coven probably teaching them things Malory exhibited to us also I kinda think u need a balance where as Malory is powerful she’s to good and kind I think what little we saw if Anna Leigh is what a supreme should be powerful strong able to teach her gifts as best she can . But firm if Fiona had not been so self serving I think she would have 1. Had a way better relationship with Myrtle and her daughter 2. The coven would have thrived better more girls more power more witches. 3. She would have remained frenimes with the voodoo witches . Although fionas self serving needs did save the coven from Marie and Hank big that’s the only example I can think of when her self serving nature helped the coven also. I also think she was the most powerful thing to walk the earth till she got prego and like she said like any pregnant woman that baby is feeding off if you if you ha s been pregnant you know your drained sometimes before you even know . But legit another life growing in you is sucking life from you in this case it was life and power . But I honestly don’t think Fiona hated Delia for being her daughter I think she hated her for consuming a great amount of her powers when we see her in coven she’s a force so I can’t imaging what she was like before she got pregnant . She also I think deep down loved her she was saddened by the attack in her and could tell Hank was not good enough for her daughter it was not just some mother in law bulkshit she legit could smell hanks bulkshit she knew he was no good which most likely is why she refused to help with a fertility spell I have no doubt Fiona was capable of performing one or forcing Marie to do it but she was not about to have a Hank baby around . And while she only come back to the coven to pit the girls against each other she not Cordelia she put them at there full powers forcing them to get out of there shells and actually started teaching she out Madison in her place then killed her but she was right Madison would have been a worse supreme then Fiona still no grounds for killing . But I don’t think cordila is all that great a supreme I know she did not want to be anything like Fiona but Myrtle even tells her not all of Fiona was bad . I mean that relationship was odd to cuz while Fiona had Myrtle killed Myrtle when misty brought her back Had the best artist paint fionas painting I always found there relationship more frenime then Marie and Fiona I found Marie and Fiona just plan old Fiona being bitter cuz she’s knows dam well Marie is stronger in every way just different magic and unlike Fiona Marie is hailed by her people and calked queen Fiona only the supreme also Marie posses what Fiona wants there relationship was Fiona always trying to get the upper hand last word petty I am white pretty a witch and better then you cuz I am the hammer but yet like Marie said the hammer always needs the nail . Idk I would have liked to see more of Anna Lehigh cuz I think that’s how a supreme should be I don’t think Fiona , Delia or Malory have what it needed clearly under Anna Leigh the coven thrived yes Delia tried to make it thrive again but dam Michael came which is why I think instead of Myrtle coming back whom we are not even sure can do the 7 wonders as Zoe says she was not witch enough should have brought Fiona back I guess she could have had Myrtle as well for moral support since that’s all she was good for but making a deal for Marie and Fiona would have helped her more besides Marie’s appearance was fan service but I kinda just figure out why he needed her heart coco could not kill him because he now had Marie’s immortal heart . All I can hope is Marie gets her own AHS season.

@@kkandsims4612 Buddy boi, learn to separate paragraphs and keep to a particular dialogue cause that was a smorgasbord of questions 😵‍💫 In any case, that line was absolutely an act of kindness. Her mother has always treated her horribly, with scorn and envy, because on some level she knew Cordelia was her true successor, yet Fionna always let that fuel her empathy for the downtrodden and disrespected. When she saw her Mom like this, she didn't see a monster that is see for being put down, she saw a woman who knew she was on her deathbed, who needed comfort. The one thing Cordelia decided was to be unlike her mother, she would not repeat her mistakes, and showed her that there was hope for the Coven outside of Fiona's addictive practices. Everyone dies, it's the endless cycle, and some get so caught up in the idea of power and influence that they forget to address the problem of basic humanity towards their child, which the parent never understood themselves. Fiona has always been so above other mortals and even witches, so much power that she saw herself as a God, but when that's stripped away you only have the ones you held closest, and Cordelia was gracious enough to give the peace and honesty to her final moments. Not repeating the cycle of abuse and murder to gain power, but to show her mother that her comfort in dying meant so much more in the end.

What I love about this scene is that it's not some cheesy, unrealistic kiss and makeup scene. Fiona and Cordelia had some real issues. I think Fiona finally opening up to Cordelia and telling her that every time she looked at her, she saw her own demise and that's why she resented her gave Cordelia the answer she always searched for. Which then, Cordelia tells her that it's okay to be afraid. Them hugging and gaining an understanding of each other just moments before Fiona took her last breath is beautiful.

Not that she would've not been able to kill her daughter, but she did state that she loved her plenty, maybe that's what prevented her from killing Cordelia. I will forever be grateful to AHS for introducing my generation to the genius of Jessica Lange. Truly one of the greatest modern actresses who has been at least a little bit underrated compared to others like Streep. I was so glad she got the Emmy for playing Fiona. The writing here is so great, too. Fiona tells Cordelia that she shouldn't have always been looking for other versions of motherhood. Cordelia could've easily said, "Myrtle was a better mother than you ever were" and walk away. But she doesn't, and that reveals so much about her goodness.

They see how strong, capable, and beautiful their children have become, and they have a sense of pride. Then one day, they pass on. The power and authority is passed on. The parent will never truly die... not really. Their best qualities live on in their children. ❤

This scene is not just sad for the obvious reason, but we finally see Cordelia in her final transformation; the Supreme. A Supreme isn't just a powerful Witch, but she's a leader, and her job is to guide Witches on the right path. You can see she's finally ready, as she guides her mother to her death in her final moments.

I think Fiona had suspicions or had always speculated that Cordelia will one day take all of her powers, but she wasn’t 100% confident in believing that. It’s possible there were some kind of subconscious deniability in Fiona believing that the next supreme was Madison instead of Cordelia as a way to release all of her animosity towards Madison rather than Cordelia. I do think, at the end of the day, Fiona truly loved Cordelia, and was probably the main reason why she couldn’t bring herself to kill her, and that’s says a lot, considering how ruthless Fiona can be towards anyone who poses a threat to her.

I adore this scene. Cordelias last speech to her mom. So powerful.

As much as I loved this scene, a great alternate ending would be fiona killing cordelia and a youthful 20 something fiona walks out the house smiling as it fades to black. *cues AHS fanfic brigade*
