My working hat is a 21 year old American Hat Company Bangora. Tough, water resistant, comfortable right outta the box and still fits perfect. Thanks for making such a great hat!.

I just drove down to Houston from Indianapolis to help a friend out, while I was there I went to the “Hat Store” and bought my first American Hat Co hat, I love this hat, the entire process was great! This won’t be my first hat for sure, I’ve already got another picked out when I go back in the spring!

Just picked my first American Hat up yesterday. Best hat I've worn so far. It was the only one left in the particular store and it was on sale. Fits perfect in the long oval 7 3/8.

My mom worked for them shaping hats back when the main warehouse was in Houston! My dad still has his old black felt from the 80/90s

I knew Bill & Billie George that started American Hat in Houston & Conroe, Texas. They sponsored me when I was 16 years old in my early years of rodeo around the Houston area. They were great people and friends. I know the story about how American Hat got moved to Bowie, Tx after their death and I know Billie probably turned over in her grave. It was sad to see them move from Conroe, Tx. I have wore American Hats since I was around 6 years old and am now almost 70 years old.

best Factory built hat period! Stetson/ Resistol should take note. I Have collected hats for 30+ years and the " hand" on these hats is like no other factory hat. very nice quality and hold up to hard use.

What do you treat your hats with before steaming and before shaping that keeps it nice and stiff.? And how do you apply it, by spraying it?
