So you stand out! =) Since we travel a lot I meet a lot of people from everywhere. And usually even native speakers can't tell where I am from.

@@DeanaandPhil Yeah, your English sounds pretty good. I mean, I'm very sensitive to this stupid German accent (even though I probably sound like that too. XD) and I can still make it out slightly, but it's not too bad. Certainly, better than my English teacher. (I am so triggered every time she speaks. So awful. She literally is the definition of an Allmann speaking English.)

Für den ersten Versuch kannst du dir ja mal den Adventskalender von Boxiland holen. Der hat zwar einen stolzen Preis für einen Adventskalender, aber der hat allerlei verschiedene amerikanische Süßigkeiten. Manches ist zwar doppelt, aber das ist ok. Durch den hab ich meine Liebe zu LaffyTaffy entdeckt :) Und wenn du Schokolade magst, probiere mal Hershey :) Die haben sehr leckere Schokolade :) Bekommst du bei Amazon :) Von den Hershey Kisses rate ich persönlich ab, aber das ist Geschmackssache :) Und es gibt auch eine Seite die ländertypische Boxen zusammenstellt :)

German food is WUNDERBAR!!!! You have to try the Jägerschnitzel with Käsespätzle and Jägersoße. Also, try the Rouladen with Semmelknödel or Kartoffelknödel. Fresh brötchen, right out of the oven is so good with Nutella. And, try a Radler (I prefer it made with Schneiderweizen). Have fun, while in Germany and snag you a German guy.😁

I forgot two more things that you need to try: Schweineshaxen and German ribs. If you like fried pig skin (Crackerl), you will LOVE the haxen. And the ribs are heaven. Germans don't use bbq sauce and their ribs taste fantastic!

Nein. Es heißt Ma-O-am. Wurde doch in der bekannten Werbung immer so gesagt, aber ich glaube in neueren Werbungen sagen sie manchmal echt Mau-Am. Ist wohl eine Generationssache. In früheren Werbungen (und der beliebten „Was wollt ihr dann?“ Werbung“ sah man es richtig Ma-O-am buchstabiert und wurde auch so gesprochen.

Ich hab die Erfahrung gemacht, dass die Schokolade bei den Super Dickmanns nicht knackig ist... nehm seit dem die günstigeren, schmecken für mich gleich...

When I first moved to Spain back in the sixties they didn't have Peanut butter at all. My parents bought it at the commissary on base and all my Spanish friends used to love it.

As a half Brit, half Slovak person, I can confirm that yes, After Eights are very British XD they're very common in the UK, but I never saw them in Slovakia, or when we were traveling between countries *Edit* spelling

you need to try a "Mohrenkopf-Brötchen" - or political correct "Schoko Kuss Brötchen" get a nice german bun (Brötchen) at your favorite bakery, nothing fancy, just a simple wheat bun (Kaiserbrötchen), slice it in half and put 1 schoko kuss (or 2😉 ) between the 2 halves and squish... they were very popular back in my youth.. i can remember how people stormed the bakery close to my school, in the break between classes, to buy them and all the sad faces, because they were sold out already, if you didn't get there fast enough..😢 give it a try... ^^ edit: lol i wrote that comment the moment you devoured the schokokuss.. next time i should wait a little, your boyfriend even mentioned the bun thing in the video.. 😁 trust him it really works and it is awesome, especially if you like schokoküsse to begin with and it looked like you did ^^ some people also put them (just the "schokoküsse" without a bun) in the microwave for a very short time.. only 10 - 30 seconds.. they grow in size, get all puffy and creamy, when you do this.. tastes nice as well, but the schokokuss-brötchen still wins ;) - but keep an eye on them if you do it.. depending on the watts and setting of your microwave the amount of time it needs varies.. if you put them in too long they will melt completely and you dont want that.. just let them grow a little, wait for the chocolate to break and melt a bit and take them out... oh and ofc don't forget to put them on a plate and eat them with a spoon afterwards.. 👌

WOW! As you described all of that I'm drooling over here! The microwaved Schokoküsse sounds amazing and I'll definitely have to try it! I just showed Phil this comment and he relived his childhood school breaks where the kids would buy the Schokoküsse and bread at the bakeries! I had no idea that was a thing, sounds like it should be in the USA! 😍🤤😜 Thanks for watching and commenting! I'll definitely try all of your recommendations, but I might need a few weeks. At the moment, I'm doing a sugar detox.. 😅😂🤣 We consumed a lot of sweets in one sitting! 😋💜

Mohrenkopf-Brötchen, ja, so wurde früher dazu gesagt... and now we are, of course, pc. Egal, ein frisches Brötchen vom Bäcker, am besten frisch vom Ofen und dann gleich den Schokokuss auf's Brötchen! What could be more delicious!?! I am going to Germany soon and cannot wait to buy a Schachtel of Dickmanns und frische Brötchen! 😋 P.S. The US does not 'do' Brötchen and does not understand Brötchen in the way wie wir Deutschen das so tun. 😉

peanut butter in germany is very exspensive and its made in holland its was a lot cheaper in the uk i think it still is and the price as sky rocketed

Zu meiner Schulzeit war direkt eine Bäckerei um die Ecke und die haben sich darauf spezialisiert. In den Pausen war die überlaufen mit Schülern die die gekauft haben Back in school there was a bakery around the corner and they sold them. During breaks it was overflowing with pupils buying those.

Das Brötchen was er bei den schoko küssen beschrieben hat. Man nennt es auch FORTUNA BRÖTCHEN perfekt mit nem Alt bier 😁😍
