Glad this showed up in my recommendations. Nice seeing flat trackers going around a track I drove sprint cars on in the 90's. I loved racing at Port Royal.

They must not have seen Macri run the cushion at that joint. They’d be 1/2 second faster. 😂😂

I’ve seen some great racing on this track,, back in the day. Snellbaker, Smith, Tobias, Kauffman, Opperman, Swarmer, Felty, I could go on. Better than NASCAR then, much better now.

Most competitive bikes these days are custom Indian FTR 750's. Harley is out there but they haven't been competitive for nearly a decade.

There's a licensing system plus the bikes are superexpensive, nobody cares about top-level twins anymore

@@DanArnets1492 thanks, I'm seeing some of this reading an interview by Jeffrey Carver....only a loss of $ to race, very sad because racing could be amazing if the series had 20-25 great bikes and rides...

@@davidyingling4873 - Actually, because of the current competition format, the ideal number of entries would be around 50 per round and class · During qualifying, only the top48 make it to the afternoon/evening show and are divided into 3 heats of 16 riders · The top12 of each make it into the 2 semifinals of 18 riders each - Shit's so bad with twins that they skip the heats and just send everyone to the semifinals · Top9 of the semifinals make it into the 18-rider main event

Alot have dropped back to production twins or singles class. If you're not on a factory team, I imagine you lose money every race in the supertwin class. Plus, if you're not on the factory Indian team let's be honest you don't even have a shot right now.

He'd master that too. If he isn't already he's becoming a prospect for the GOAT racer of any and all kinds. Who wants to slide their ride under him and see what he can do? One problem, his boss most likely won't allow him to race on two wheels unless he's got two more as a backup.

He knows the risk, maybe he weighed it against his love for flattrack and decided he would do the job anyway. Sometimes you choose reward over being afraid of everything. The racers surely have.
