I love my SP5! I got one of the really swoopy ones too (some sp5s I've seen look different in the clip, might be a camera angle but some I've seen looked straighter.)

Mine is nuts , it's actually a bit too thin , I feel like I'm gonna impale myself with that thing LOL 😆 I have beat the living crap out of mine , I had it bent so bad in fruit tree wood I thought it was broke. Nope snapped right back! , I love the good old Ontario days. I was being stupid , I try not to be so hard on a knife now . I actually am thinking about grinding that thin tip off, make it more of a basic design. I might get a blade attachment for my Ken Onion in March . I don't like using the machines anymore but that attachment looks cool . Also they make 3d printed after market stands to hold the blade level. I freaking love modding blades, Becker and Ontarios are the best for that .

@jimbusmaximus4624 Yes , newbies in the knife world never went through those great days of $50 knives. I hope something good comes of the new purchase , I ain't holding my breath. I need to get a Tak 1 before they are all gone . Thats the one I always wanted but never pulled the lever. So many knives so little cash, ... BUT I want a couple blades that I've put off for many years . That tak1 , Becker BK10 and the Esee Laser Strike . I don't care about new stuff right now , I feel like I gotta get the blades that matter most to me or I won't be complete ROFL 😆 I need to sell a few I don't want anymore so I can fund this endeavor. There's a market for such matter of fact reviewing. I appreciate all of the raw honesty and transparency, and it nails home the message. Glad to see an American company get a redemption like this.

Long time fan, first time caller. Great videos - love what you’re doing. I just wanted to point out something that I found interesting. You note at ~6:40 that you’re wearing gloves so that you don’t have to worry about your hand slipping. Good call. I would suggest that ANY knife that doesn’t have an adequately substantial guard to prevent this from happening (and therefore make gloves unnecessary) isn’t a true “fighter”/“tactical” knife.

Thanks for doing this video. I have seen a lot of your hard use videos. I enjoy them all, but many of the knives perform about the same. This is one of those that really stands out, especially the chopping! The rope cutting was a bit rough, though. The paper cutting before and after stropping also tells me that you can bring it back to really sharp after all that testing. Impressive!

Its great to see this come full circle. The Mako redeems itself here, as far as I'm concerned. All that aside, I'm a fan of the design. Makes me think of a tougher, meaner cousin of the Legionnaire Bowie by Gil HIbben, mostly in that blade shape.

FAILURE!! I bought one. And what I received was a nice looking knife with polished edge. But here are the problems I had. Although blade was polished, It was very dull! And the way the edge curved made it a pain to sharpen, I ordered one with red liners, it didn't have one. The kydex sheath was lose! The knife would literally fall out. And for over $400, this knife should have been perfect. Than I got an email from their "CEO"Allan Kramer, basically telling me, "Then you made that commitment to purchase through our website and I am sure that you read that purchases are non-returnable." So yes, Carnivora is a FAILURE in my books!!

I might have to buy me one of them
