23 years later and this video hits the nail on current western institutions of education.

Except the Bull of bilingual education! It is a proven fact that children should be exposed to as many languages as possible until the age of 6. This is the best way to introduce them to the concept of language before they can specialize in one. Also, Multilingual education develops non-verbal skills, teaches them social skills, and lays a foundation for understanding different ethnicities, traditions, and views.

Brilliant and beautiful. There should be a Humanities endowment in her name/honour.

I can't remember the last time I heard such an amazing speaker introduction. In fact, I can't think of one that wouldn't have made the event better had it simply been omitted entirely.

She had the whole thing figured out from so long ago and nobody listened. We are only now starting to experience the first outward manifestations of this ideological poison, and to think this is probably just the beginning...

Facts, like truth, are the things that exist whether one believes them or not.

The twitterpation that defines education as a function of a system or organization is defunct. That paradigm has collapsed. What needs reforming is the accuracy and reliability of available information on the web. Near correct information is the most dangerous kind. Opinion is not fact. The ability to tell the difference between near facts, outright lies, opinions and real verifiable and vetted information will be the key going forward. Education, as a monolith is over. University education is over. The remaining struggle will be over certification, qualified as a 'fill in the blank'. Self education is the fact of our time. Schools are over.
