If it's just an air pump and an oil reservoir, then how hard would it be to make something like this yourself? I remember when I bought my first Haze Generator years ago and it was around $300+. Now, the exact same model with no upgrades is almost $600. I'd rather try to make one myself than keep shelling out that much money.

Did you figure anything out? Mine has low output. Pump and hose are good. I removed the tank to check the air line going in (tank) but it is not removable without cutting the tank. I did try to blow into the tank air line but it was very restricted. Maybe its clogged or maybe its suppose to be that way? The mechanism inside the tank looks like an aluminum distribution device with 4 airline outs.

Yes you can take out the bulkhead and clean out the nozzles (there are 3) with a torch tip cleaners or a small piece of wire. You take it apart also and clean it out if you want to. Just loosen the allen bolts up and it just comes apart. Mine works like new again. I put the tank back together with some clear silicone from the auto parts store. Cost less than 5 bucks to fix but its messy. I think I spent more time cleaning up than fixing. Lol

@@lightingmike1242 Not sure if anyone will see this, but I have 2 of these with diminished output. Took the tank apart, but one of the hex screws to the aluminum "thing" won't come out. I'll try to clean the nozzles out w/o taking it apart. But I am curious as to how it can get clogged when all that goes through it is air? I thought it more likely that those little air stones might be clogged?

@@clubinfinity7785 Think of how it works, like a paint gun It pumps air thru the nozzle and siphons the fluid up thru the filters where it mixes together. Then blows the mixture out the tip of the nozzle into the chamber where the case fan ejects it into the room. If the stones are clogged you wont be able to get any fluid threw them threw them. ( Yes you are correct. try taking them off and blowing thru the filters) If the nozzle is clogged, it will reduce the amount of air and fluid that comes thru it. All it takes is a small piece of dirt to clog the nozzles. Chances are its the nozzles that's clogged over time. If this doest help let me know. I AM 99,9% I can get you working again for very little if any money! FIRST: Make sure you are using OIL BASED FLUID FOR THE HAZER NOT WATER BASED !

Couldn't you just swap it out with a cheap airbrush compressor from ebay they look like the same thing ? Im going to make a DIY hazer using one

Of course, you can pop a different compressor in there. I just don't know what forms the haze inside the tank. I assume the air supply simply bubbles in the solution, but maybe there is an air stone, like in a fish tank. I never broke open the tank on the hazer to look. Let me know if you get it working!

@@therockstudio You can test this! Disconnect the hose from the oil reservoir and just drop it into a small bowl of oil haze fluid. I'd love to the know the outcome!
