Before my husband met me, he didn't know anything about Islam. We met as friends. He saw me performing solat one day and started asking questions for the sake of curiosity. It's a blessing for daniel that his father not only accepts him as a muslim but also is receptive to his dawah. What is a test for one revert is a blessing to the other. I know other reverts their parents has not talk to to him for years/months.

I cried like so much listening to this Surah. It was so nice to see you and your dad have a discussion about Islam. It is such beautiful and peaceful religion.

Do not take bad things from prophets and men of this world like Adam, David, Solomon etc Muhammad married many to help them. He killed many as they were bad. So he added polygamy and jihad and made Quran. You will get many women on earth and in heaven. Beware in the last days many logical men will make many to fall. Pray nonstop till you know God Jesus is the only way ,truth and life.

Your father sees you with so much love. Because he sees you speak with so much passion and sparkly eyes about the religion and that makes any parent happy, seeing their child happy.

The harmony and the peaceful energy is incredible between you both. There is a hadeeth that indicates “ no group of people gather to talk and discuss and mention Allah, angels come down and stay among them and listen to them. I personally feel angels are ascending and are among you and your dad listening to you both. Subhan Allah Wa Behamdeh.

After a long search, alhamdulillah I have found the reciter its, "Surah Maryam - Ahmad Al-Shalabi", dont forget me from your duas inshallah.

Br. Daniel there is another thing that is beneficial for you both regarding this chapter: Notice that the chapter starts with the story of Zakariyya(Zachariah) pbuh and him asking Allah to grant him a child, and Allah answers to his dua and blesses him with Yahya pbuh(John the Baptist for Christians), now this is just as miraculous as the birth of Isa(Jesus) pbuh. Because Zachariah is extremely old at this time and his wife is barren, unable to have children, but in both cases of Yahya and Isa pbut they are created by Allah simply ordering it to be. Everything in the Qur'an is placed in its place purposefully and there is so much wisdom and depth in it.

What you have missed is that John is the last prophet not Mohammad. What you have also missed is that John Baptised Jesus and it was at the baptism of Jesus that the the trinity was revealed for the first time. What you have missed is that Zakariyah was the witness of the angel appearing to Mary. Mohammad claimed that an angel visited him in the Hera Cave but there is no evidence for this claim. How can you put the salvation of your soul on a man who had no eye witness, no miracles, no prophecies for the claims he made.

Br. Daniel and Dad.... while you were at it, did you notice the beauty in the recitation of the Quran and the poetic form of it, like how the words at the end of every verse are rhyming.....this in itself is a Miracle of Quran. Allah says in Quran that he has made it easy to memorize, surely this poetic form and the repetitive phonetics make it easy to recite and beautiful to listen....Subhan Allah

@@kingchrist3167 The affirmation in the Shahada that Mohammed (PBUH) is a Messenger of Allah, doesn't mean he is equal to Allah himself or he is part of Allah. I don't think your English is that bad, that you do not understand such a simple statement. Meaning of a messenger according to Oxford dictionary "Messenger: a person who carries a message or is employed to carry messages." Its also an affirmation, not to repeat the same mistake that the Christians have made knowingly or unknowingly of proclaiming the divinity of Christ, instead of treating him as a Messenger like others before him. Nice try, but we are not falling for your foolish tricks, you might be one but we are not.

@@Fallen_Angel17 It's true that you should love all the Quran but you can have a favorite verse or surah. Quran resonates with people differently. as mentioned in Riyad as-Salihin hadith 388 there was a prayer leader ending his prayers with surah ikhlas (chapter 112) because he loved it and it was the attributes of god. So god was pleased with him. I love ayat zumar verse 53 ( chapter 39:53 ) because it made me feel true inner peace and forget about my past and try to be the best version of myself moving on.

32:14 Yes, this is known to be the first ever verse revealed of the Quran. The Prophet (ﷺ) was retreating at a cave in the outskirts of Mecca when the angel Gabriel appeared to him, squeezing him tightly and ordering him to read. Since the Prophet (ﷺ) was unlettered, he responded, “I cannot read.” Ultimately, Gabriel taught him: “Read (Recite) in the Name of your Lord …” Some scholars believe that this encounter is the fulfilment of Isaiah 29:12, which states, “Then the book will be given to the one who is illiterate, saying, ‘Read this.’ And he will say, ‘I cannot read.’” May Allah bless your journey to the truth. 🤍

brother just to answer your mother may Allah guide him he's such a lovely person. the word read in Arabic means read as it is in english but the word EQRAA have more meanings and what was meant here is (recite) so when the Angel (alaih alsalam) said read and the Prophet (SAWS) said i can't read after few times he said read in the name of your lord who create thats when the prophet realized he meant recite and the rest of the story (just to answer the question saw you struggling a bit but we are here to help and you can look up this information) much love, and would love to chat with you some time if you would ever like to chat with someone
