Even at his most basic, even if you take away every special power and ability he has, he still has the power of disguise. I mean, his ability to impersonate as any sort of person seamlessly without fail is kind of amazing. He can convince anybody that he is anybody. The only people who can see through his disguises are the people closest to him; the Smith family. And even still, sometimes they are fooled, as well. Roger has an ungodly ability to be somebody else.

So I roughly calculated how much the turd is worth, Heres the break down. Is it even gold, though? Maybe it is just seen as gold to the people that see it as a way to pass on its influence, like the way seeds are in (and on in the case of strawberries) fruits and vegetables so that animals will eat them and carry the seeds to other places to be planted, if that makes sense. That would explain why it starts glowing when people are around to see it it when they first see it and stopped glowing when that guy was shot, maybe? So it could be utterly worthless or invisible to certain people or to animals or on camera... after all, the two guys who shot the guy who shot the politician saw he had it in his hands but they didn't fight or kill each other over it, it just went under the couch until the cleaning lady found it. So they might've seen nothing. Maybe they were from the FBI and knew about its powers and wore special sunglasses, but that wouldn't make sense because why would they leave it there? They'd want to study it in a lab, weaponize it themselves, or secure it to avoid it causing any more harm. Unless they were observing people and allowing the public that interacted with the turd to be their guinea pigs and studying those who survived it in a lab. Reminds me of the ring in Lord of the Rings ( "my precioussssss"). Wow, I am waaay overthinking this cartoon reocurring gag, LMAO!

@@tycer.3178 Funny you mentioned South Park because that is the one other long running adult animation series I still enjoy and I was going to bring it up anyway as you did Comedy Central. I'm seeing South Park through to the end and if it does get cancelled, I will be surprised considering the channel have ordered three more seasons of SP. To me, that Comedy Central mainstay (1997-Present) is still quality in spite of the serialized stories that eventually wore thin over time. While I will be sad to see American Dad go, at least I can say it had a good run.

If they needed someone pure of heart to deliver it back to Roger why didn't they just ask the cleaning lady that literally gave it to them without hesitation? They'd still be alive

Though it seems to have some kind of enchantment that brings out the greed in all without pure of heart. So even an old woman that was sweet and selfless 85% of her life, the fact that she's not 100% selfless means that the golden turd can still corrupt her. We all have a bit of greed in all of us, which is why it's probably rare to find anyone that is immune to the corrupting powers of the golden turd.

Tbf Stan also seemed to know. He took it away not just because he wanted it but so his family wouldn’t fight over it and so he wouldn’t fight his family. The golden turd is such a tragic story. It could have improved tons of people's lives if anyone had just decided to share it. Nobody really ended up better off for having it, despite the wealth it offered them. Also thought it was hilarious how it all comes full circle with Roger eventually using it to power his ship.

The only thing that respect continuity in this show is a golden shit.

This was my favourite sub-plot from anything. Glad it finished with a really good "full circle" ending

Incredible well written and performed. That transition (i guess its out of some film) when the heartbeat slows down and he goes up the stairs - great. How the fate becomes less and less sensemaking and aggrevated to the BIG Dan Brown Conspiracy Type - and a vatican standoff to finally an open end. Great!

It missed out on Jesus giving it back to Roger to fuel his spaceship during Armageddon

I just realised, the cop never went out a good cop since he didn’t return the golden turd and was instead buried in his home by his wife.

Honestly the ending of this Story arc was good until the smiths started killing each other as soon as they got to stans house up till that point there was this serious air to the entire thing

Technically the Antichrist never had it. Jesus just said his soldiers recovered it in Boca. As for everyone else, Jim & Mike are alive, with the former presumably married. The Thackers are alive and well, though their son probably never won another election. And the religious figures & Steve Harvey are all okay

It was really bittersweet when Roger cried over the Smith's deaths in '300'. It shows that even though he's selfish, careless, and mean a lot of times to them, he does care about them.

That Food Dash girl is basically the Chosen One by bringing peace to the universe. Hope she becomes a recurring character of the series.

I love how they made this subplot feel just like a prestige drama/thriller.

Funny how back then Roger didn’t know what his power was. But by now in the series, he has super speed, regeneration, get inside people’s dreams, breath under water, electric finger that can kill and revive you, etc.

Roger is possibly the greatest character in any show ever. He has endless possibilities, I wonder if in the beginning of the first season they knew they were gonna go the route of his different personas.

I love how they took something you would think twice about and made you want more every time

I love how the film changes its vibe during this story

Hope they still keep this mini series going, probably some of the best content from American Dad💯 If Seth and the others in charge decided to make a serious drama/crime with this animation style it would be insanely good tbh😂

It's amazing what Roger's gem encrusted golden poop has been through and who knows what more it'll go through next

Ahh, yes, the dreaded claw machine. It is perfect.

Had never seen how it all ended. Nice to find some closure.

The comedic timing of their running jokes in this series is unmatched. I really feel like the team for American Dad had a lot more passion than the team that works on Family Guy, which is crazy because so many of the artists overlap on both shows. Just a good example of the differences between a cash cow and a passion project.

When I was 15 I remember this episode airing for the first time. 15 years later the story ends(?) and can be summed up in about 15 minutes.
