American Couple React: Al Murray 2 Videos! Name A Country We Have Defeated Them! & National Anthems!

American Couple React: Al Murray 2 Videos! Name A Country We Have Defeated Them! And Al Murray National Anthems!
We said we weren't going to do many Comedians as we aren't stand up comedy fans. But we thought after 3 months & thousands of comments later asking us to, we couldn't refuse you! We were Al Murray fans after we watched the first video. After watching these 2, we are even bigger fans and hope our American friends will agree! We will still only be doing a comedian video very, very seldom as we are trying to learn about the UK and eventually other Countries. We SUPER enjoyed this episode and hope you do too! It was a lot of fun! Please drop us a Like. Thanks everyone!

A theme that runs through British comedy is irony a lot of Americans don't get it . Americans just do literal comedy that's ok we gat that as well . A great gift for our comedians is Trump and some Republican politicians who are weird absolute mental cases . We have several satirical programmes that highlight the gaffs ad misinformation of your senators , congressmen and Wannabees . Pure comedy gold , Fox News features a lot as well . We often think that Fox can't be serious it's so absolute crap but as funny as hell for us . One particularly angry guy basically dismissed the entirety of British history as phony and trotted out the "we whipped your ass in 1776 and saved your ass in WWII" stereotype. What a charming specimen of a human being he was.

@@dcmastermindfirst9418 By agreement with the Western Allies. The Russians sacrificed millions of lives that the Western Allies were not prepared to. Stalin's Russia killed multiple millions of their own people, before, during and even after the 2nd World War. On of the reasons the Nazis got so close to Moscow was that Stalin executed most of his senior officers at that time, leaving inexperienced junior officers to handle an invasion by competent, experienced and motivated officers and troops. If it hadn't been for UK and, later, US supplies of aircraft, tanks etc., Russia would have been defeated by the Nazis. Russia, as is being proven in Ukraine today, places NO value on human life. @@cketts8128 one will suffice for all. The trouble is that you obviously know very little about the Britain/US relationship over the years. The US regarded Britain as an enemy until 1917 when she reluctantly entered WW1 ,mainly to safeguard her investment in supplying war materials to the allies . Even then Wilson made it clear that the US regarded Britain as a foreign rival. In WW2 America again refused to help militarily until it was clear that the British Empire could win. Roosevelt believed that Britain was finished. Britain has to ship her gold to Canada to pay America for war material and sell off American holdings The loan Britain received had to be paid back ,every cent, and it was not finished until recently . America forced Britain to start disbanding the Empire after the war when Britain was financially exhausted. Then in 1956 she refused to help Britain regain the Suez Canal after it was appropriated by Nasser. In fact she threatened to attack British warships and destroy the pound if Britain refused to withdraw from Egypt . That ended Britain’s world power allowing America to take over. With friends like that who needs enemies

@@forthfarean - wowsers! Well, I did ask you not to be lazy and you’ve written an essay - well done! I didn’t really think a lighthearted comment on the fact that us Brits tend to take the piss out of anyone we know (family, friends etc) is part of our humour and usually (not always!) means we like them. He also stood as a ‘joke’/satirical political candidate (in character) against Nigel Farage and did a TedX talk about it called ‘democracy is no joke’ or something like that, could be worth checking out so you can see what he’s like out of character

Al Murray used to be on a Comedy Show late 90swith the main person of the show called Harry Hill. I used to see magazine interviews with Al at the same time and one thing he said was that he was lucky to have his partner/wife and that he loved her very much. He came across like a real nice person.

Always a treat when you two upload, and also remember there's always going to be a percentage of people who search for this reaction, skip to the reaction, then skip onto the next video, but they'll probably leave a comment asking for more comedy reactions without listening to the start first - either way don't get frustrated if that happens lol x -on a completely unrelated note, i just got a tiny polaroid/instant camera. I'd recommend one to take cute pics of pets and special trips for little keepsakes and memories 😁maybe for when you pop over to the UK oh just one thing, taking the piss doesn't always mean joking, of course. He didn't specifically develop the character for 'Time Gentlemen Please', which came out in 2000. He'd been performing the character since the mid-90s, I remember hearing him on Radio 4 a fair bit in the late 90s on The Now Show by Steve Punt and Hugh Dennis. Was quite surprised he got his series on Sky rather than the BBC.

Comedy is based on exaggeration and that is why people should not take it to heart and you both do a wonderful job of making sense of that principal. The British do a good job of self mocking so only fair other nations should join the fun. Jimmy Car is on the news today for making a remark about the holocaust and just to show how complex humans are some support the right to take comedy to its limits including one Jewish comic and others who think he went too far.

The Falklands war was peculiar because it was Britain and Argentina fighting over a group of islands in the Atlantic. There was really little of significance to fight over, but we fought anyway. For 10 weeks in 1982. Which lead to the military pilots discovering if you fly one way along the beach, then the other, out to sea and back in land the penguins fall over watching.

  • @KissMyFatAxe

Gotta remember, the people of the Falklands are British citizens and they would've been forced to live under a dictatorship had we allowed Argentina to take over those islands, because at the time Leopoldo Galtieri was in charge and his own people didn't even like him. I'd say that's significant enough to fight over. Defence of our citizens. I wouldn't want to live in a nation that would turn it's back on its own people in a situation like that.
