Plus, his era was better, the defense was tougher and he didn’t had all star team like Messi in Barcelona and now PSG. Maradona turned that shithole Napoli to be a dominant force in the best league in the world. That’s another thing. Messi NEVER played in the toughest league, not to mention to lead a garbage team to the top. Also, the 1986 Maradona’s World Cup run is by far the greatest by an individual player.

Imagine calling the most complete player one trick pony. Ronaldo can do everything Messi does but Messi can't do everything Ronaldo does. Messi is pretty much useless against low block team but only way to solve it is having someone that dominant in the air. Messi has no defensive contribution and he demands ball at his feet all the time means his team will struggle defensively. This video is so misleading. Ronaldo had a higher average goal ratio when they were both playing in the same league. Messi played the majority of his career in a league that only had 2 good teams while Ronaldo played in much harder leagues like the Premier League and Serie A. Even now Messi is playing in a much weaker league (French league)
