Every time I fly over the Lake Mead area, I keep thinking to myself that need to visit it at some point (and the Hoover Dam). Haven't done it yet, but it was certainly a cracking day for flying!

I was reading the other day that the city of Las Vegas makes a significant amount of income from those slot machines in the airport. Whenever I fly on United, American or Delta, I always book economy plus on any flight over 2 hours and economy on anything under 2 hours. I find that 2 hours is about my endurance to be cramped into a normal economy seat. I really enjoy the shorter duration flights like you had today. I just don't have the stamina for longer flights anymore. I doubt I could do a long-haul trip in anything less than a premium economy seat, preferably business class. I hope you keep putting out videos, your channel is an undiscovered gem.

Thanks, David. I really appreciate your kind words, and I'm glad that you're enjoying the channel - that's the intention! I'm a bit like yourself - I can't face a long flight stuck in an economy seat, if I can avoid it. Not so bad on short trips (or when travelling to Europe with family on a LCC, but if I can manage it, I always try to get a cheap enough fare to make business class viable. This was my first time trying out the extra legroom seats with AA and I'd managed to get these for free as a benefit of my Onworld status (thanks to BA). I think AA usually charge a premium for these, so It was great - and it makes quite a difference in terms of space. I've a couple of economy flights in late August going LAX-MIA and back again, and have managed to grad PE seats both ways, so I'm looking forward to trying out AAs "proper" PE seats!

Enjoyed the wee flight! I'm thinking of flying out to LA in June and shoot a couple of videos, still a big maybe. Will be part of a tier point run. POOOKE!!!

Thanks - glad you enjoyed the video! Sounds like a cool trip - I hope it all pans out for you! I'm off the US at the end of August for a TP run (I dropped to BA Silver in December, so i'm trying to work my way back to Gold this year) - hopefully get a few more long-haul flights in the bag with that trip, which people usually seem to prefer (although I still enjoy doing these short, fun flights too!)

Very nice content! I was in Vegas in September of 2023. Fantastic views. I didn't win my fortune either. Haha. Fun fact: The headrests on American indicate which class your sitting in.

Thanks Tom - glad you enjoyed it! I was really cheesed off at the runway changes both arriving and departing - I'm sure the views would have been even better of the strip, but at least Lake Mead is always a sight to behold.
