I had the worst flight ever. We traveled with AA from Charlotte to PCB a few days ago and dealt with unpredictable, unprofessional staff. There was anxious staff, a depressed vibe, and pilots who did weird maneuvers. The weather was terrific. However, there was severe turbulence and some unpredictable actions, such as turning the plane, flying faster/slower, tilting, and getting higher/lower. We landed after 3 hours instead of 50 minutes. It was like they were having a training. That was felt like the plane would crash. That was a traumatic experience. Never again.

@@gilbertmal6033 she said hi I saw. Furthermore everyone doesn’t want to be recorded and posted. Or have a camera in their faces without authorization. I’m sure many passengers weren’t looking and wondering if they will be posted. That’s my take.

The pilot announcement was letting the passengers know they had time to get up and move around the cabin, either to stretch out or use the lavatories. He also told the passengers to not congregate (hang out) around the galleys or lavatories, as they could block the flight attendants or other passengers. As for American Airlines at LAX, this is a very typical day for them. There are usually multiple delays, as well as switches between Terminals 4 and 5. This can be very irritating when flying back to LAX, as you can be scheduled to park at one terminal, so your bags will be sent there, but then the plane is switched to the opposite terminal. Now you have to walk to the other terminal's baggage claim to get your bags. As for the flight attendants, it is hit or miss if you get friendly, or not so friendly, attendants. The company pisses them off all of the time, so that can factor into how they do their job.

I just booked an economy flight from LAX to Orlando for EDC in November let’s see how the flight will go. Thanks for the review. Worth mentioning AA was cheaper than Southwest and they had direct flight

I’m riding on American Airlines next weekend, and I’m kind of nervous. I haven’t been on a plane in years, and I’ve seen so many videos and heard news of a plane crash. Just a year ago, multiple church members from a live church died in a plane crash. Any advice to get over it?

I wish you safe flight & fun travel 🥰 Think of your destination & purpose why u r flying. This should empower you. If you are allowed to have a relaxant or wine, take it. You’re not driving 😉

Flew AA last month. First time flying in years. Usually flew Delta. We flew economy. We got to check bags free each flight. Did not rec. pretzels or water on one leg of journey due to turbulence, but first class got their meal. Not happy about that. First class flight attendant was snooty. Made my SL, 76 yrs wait behind curtain till Loo was available. Not allowed to wait at door in first class part of cabin. Landing in DFTW was rough. Came in fast,had we not had our seat belts on we would have hit the seats in front of us. Will go back to flying Delta in the future.

Hi 👋👋 I am a disabled passenger getting ready to fly soon on AA I'm trying to take two medium sized backpacks one for my clothing as a carry on which fits in overhead easily and one for my personal item as my travel purse. It's just easier for me. Will this be acceptable? Thanks I am getting wheelchair assist from check in to plane 😊

I booked an upcoming flight in basic economy. Being in the last boarding group makes me think that the odds of having room for my carry on are slim to none. Should I check the bag before going through TSA?

It will depend on the number of passengers & how many passengers are bringing carry on that flight. So I can’t say slim to none but if it’s too risky, yes do a checked bag or bring a carry on that is sturdy. They usually offer free check in when they can’t accommodate carry ons

American has never been good at estimating the overhead baggage space. I've been on flights with only a roll away to carry on. It fits in the overhead or under the seats, but I have been in the process of boarding, scanning my boarding pass at the gate, and they made an announcement that there was no more space, and I had to check my bag. Then I get to my seat, and the overhead above me is empty. Then the last minute passengers, either standby or non-rev, get on the plane and have plenty of space to store their bags.

They don’t want you filming staff on board. This used to be listed in the old American Way magazine and may still be posted in that drinks menu. She didn’t show the person doing the demonstration so she should be okay.

it honestly depends on the vibe of the crew which I have to feel. Most of the the crews I've been with are good vibes.They would talk to off cam & they are really friendly. The ones that don't want o be in cam would talk to me not to film them and I would respect it@@erik_griswold

It is in your terms and conditions. You must obtain permission to record within in the aircraft when it comes to crew and safety instructions.

This is not Basic Economy, unless you paid for an assigned seat, before you board, so tittle is misleading!!

You might want to do a little research on airline seating before sticking your foot in your mouth.

This airline is the worst experience you can have and they give it to you from the best before flying with this airline. Check the complaints there are thousands, all for bad work and they are liars. Take care of your money before choosing a trip with this airline.
