    Yeah, they do, there's some nice scenery in southern California. I think that the very nicest scenery I've seen is in western Canada in the Canadian Rockies (for example Banff and Jasper Nat. Park) and parts of Alaska (for example areas outside of Anchorage)

    @@TripleAAAviation It's difficult to be able to see any people on the ground from up in an aircraft, except for maybe the last minute before touchdown on the runway you're low enough to be able to a person on the ground, but I still rarely have. How fast you're whizzing by overhead probably also makes it more difficult.

    1:17 - Lake Casita sorta looks like two dog heads with really long necks looking at each other. I think Lake Casita is about 40 miles west of Reseda, and about 50 to 60 miles west/northwest of Hollywood and Beverly Hills. And 20 miles east of Santa Barbara.

    Does the ‘go around’ mean that ATC made an error allowing another aircraft on the runway and calling you in at the same time. ?

  • @CraZy291

    @CraZy291

    Not necessarily, although it could be that ATC was a little bit too optimistic, which sometimes happens. Alternatively the other aircraft may entered the runway without proper clearance or taken longer as anticipated to start their take off roll... also separation becomes a factor pretty quickly when you have two aircraft going the same direction while getting closer to each other very fast.

    From my limited knowledge,Santa Barbara is NOT a place that's hurting for money,lots of million dollar homes,I'm sure the cost of living there is well beyond most people's range--a benefit of your go-around,a free coastal 'tour' of the area,beautiful scenery.Interesting lot at the gate,looks like the airport simply fenced off part of the ramp area and voila! instant available parking! Were you on vacation or was this simply for filming and back to PHX? Willing to bet that SBA probably has a curfew,much like its 'down the road' neighbor,SNA

    Thanks! That go-around did provide a nice extended tour of the coast! I just flew over there for a quick day trip. I had never been to Santa Barbara before.

    it is not a place thats hurting. I live here. I am not directly there. Im in a small town about 20 miles south. very nice area. U got the whole tour though. I go to school in the most expensive area. Monticito. Thats where Opera and Meghan Markle live. Along with Jeff Bridges. Met him before. I have a video of me going into there from just January. Just over a month ago, I went to Texas on American Eagles E175 from SBA to Dallas. Hope you had a great flight.

    Hey, I see you flew out of Phoenix on a regular American Airlines. I did notice that now for the regular AA flights, they have the boarding announcements automated and I think Sky Harbor now uses Aviavox. When I flew out of there in October, I heard the British lady voice walking by one of the gates. Out of curiousity, when you boarded, did you hear the Aviavox chime like what you hear at London Heathrow and at Amsterdam Schipol Airport? Were the beginning of the new automated announcements like, "ding dong, good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, we will soon begin boarding American Airlines Flight 1935 to Santa Barbra." Or did they just come on without any chime? They don't use Aviavox for terminal B I noticed, just A and only for regular mainstream AA flights, not the Eagles.

    They did not use the automated announcement, the gate agent just used the PA system. I have heard that automated announcement used many times before though. It's kind of funny how it pronounces some city names.
