Just got an ace in air sim with the 3.7 sbc.. no gunpods either. I'm trying to unlock all the modifications and it was super fun. Though slow as a donkey lol

I highly recommend the F6F-5N for Sim. The radar is not only good, but it has IFF and tracking!

Fair enough! i can imagine that is usefull in sb.

In sim the F6F5 N is very fun because the radar has lock and iff capability. It is a stable gun platform and visibility is good. Would recommend for any sim pilots out there, don't skip this plane!

I still don't know why Gaijin left out the B-17B and C models - it was used at the start of the war in the Pacific throughout 1942 until they were all destroyed.

there's still plenty of prop versions and models they can introduce. They havnt done that because they're focusing on jets, i guess those make more money.

Love the vid. I’m currently working through these and absolutely struggling. Trying to boom and zoom but it honestly feels like every enemy player is you and I get destroyed lol. I’m on a streak of bad luck with the P-47-22-RE ending every match with 100 or less RP. I’m sideclimbing, I’m choosing targets somewhat wisely, I’m just still getting trashed lol. Appreciate the video, I’m going to get back at it and find the groove

Hey Jengar! You should try something I’ve read about in a book before and tried myself in the P-47s, When trying to make a ground attack doctrine two ideas were floating around for the 47s dive bombing/ strafing or flying in a formation with a heavy bomber and dropping bombs when the bomber said too… I did this with my buddy in a B-17 and I managed to kill a base in level flight from 20 thousand feet using this method in my 47, then I preformed escort duties the rest of the game defending him from enemy fighters

Absolutely, there's some major gems in there.

The F4U-1D Corsair is one of my favorite fighter/naval aircraft and variant model of the corsair in War Thunder this video is amazing 10/10👍

P-51C is a great Jack of all trades, with a lean towards Boom'n'Zooming. You will absolutely out-turn a lot of dedicated Boom'n'zoomers, and easily out-run turn fighters. For me it's like an America Yak-9.

Stopped using because the guns were so bad. Hit half my shots in it, best I get are crust. Went back to the P-51, and never looked back. Cannons are just superior

Well we’re almost done with the props and what a master of art to learn. Before we move on to rank v jets and is the only rank of jets that is fair.

Rip the PBJ’s. I find them pretty fun, but I understand why you consider them un-competitive. They’re bombers in a strike aircraft’s position, which is like putting a fish in a tree and telling it to survive. However, the 1H is decently good in ground RB.

Tried the F4U-4, this thing is garbage, outpaced, out-climbed, out-turned, by every single plane I face and it burns up by itself and has to have throttle reduced to 90% to avoid engine damage. I don't get why you like this one.

I still hate how I gotta side climb, meaning by the time I fly to the battlefield at an adequate altitude 4/5ths of my team is dead. And the survivors are bombers

Could you make a video specifically about F6F's and how are they historically inaccurate? Maybe Gaijin will see it and fix their flight model. I hope they do so:)

@@jjpl1586 Nope, the engine performance is accurate. The thing is a Tank, and it weighs a ton. It turns good at medium and high speeds, because of it large wings. Once it gets slow it turns into a brick as it should.

@@FullSweatTryhard the performance doesnt match ingame, neither does the maneuverability, not even at high speed. pilots mention it could turn with spitfires and give zero's a hard time. its not even close to its real maneuverability.

XP-50 is also a great plane if you want to buy something fun in rank III

I really want to love the P-63 (banana) but when it comes to getting kills it often lets me down.

I love the P61 too! Would you use the P61 or the F4U4 in ground rb?

Jenger the good news is i think Gajin is backing down and fixing the game but even if they do i cannot get a suitable PC since instead I get stupid TV that is worst than my old one and it cost 4 times that PC i requested.

I mean, go for it by all means, but also build up skills in something else. i only make about 150 euro's a month on youtube for example. It's a hobby, not a job. Unless you explode of course, but as i said, thats not a given.

A single euro is 150 times bigger than my country money. So for you 150 times 150 is 22500 my country's money. By the way I am not as old as I look in my profile picture. I am only in grade 9.

Why don’t you talk about the ammo belts some of the 50 cals get? access to m20APIs is a not insignificant difference in firepower. This is purely anecdotal but since switching to tracer belts on all the planes that get them I no longer find my guns underwhelming. even the bearcat with its measly 4 guns. Could just be a placebo.
