The M4 Sherman tank was an American main medium tank that has many varients even from different countries. It is the most popular WW2 Vehicle and one of the most popular tanks in history and if you ask any average knowing person they'll probably say the Sherman. The jumbo was superior to the axis power but proved inferior against the German Panzerkampfwagen 5s, known as the Panther tanks and the Panzerkampfwagen 6s, known as the tiger tanks and had 2 different varients both with the 88mm kwk German cannons, the Panzerkampfwagen 6, Tiger 1 and Panzerkampfesgen 6, Tiger 2. However with the power of technology, the Americans persevered and upgraded the Sherman's by giving it different varients like putting a rocket launcher above its turret and upgraded its cannons and turret. The turret received many upgrades like the one you probably see in the movie FURY, it was a M4A3E2 Sherman Jumbo, the jumbo was known for its armor and was equipped with multiple guns, but known for the 76mm it was equipped with. The other allies had found the Sherman tanks very powerful against the smaller mediums like the Panzerkampfwagen 4 and other tanks. So they decided to take some like the soviets took some and made slight modifications, or the British most known for making the Sherman Firefly which had finally had a counter against the Tiger 1 and some Tiger 2s. Because of this the germans had some technical issues but of course their Stugs were superior to the tanks that the allies had made. But in the end the Germans lost due to resources deficiency. And that is the lesson of the American M4
