Americanista for life even if we lost to Leon this year

I remember when I was younger I couldn't stand Layun. But at the beginning of this season I remember Layun started to come out as a player and was really playing a crucial role in America doing well in the season. I used to dread seeing his name come across the screen but as this season went on I actually started to really enjoy seeing him on the field. THIS was the game that made Layun my hero in football. I damn near broke down when I saw he was taking the final PK, and when he scored, that eas it. Haven't loved a player more since. Doesn't matter what happens to him, he's always gonna be my favorite player for being a Class A example of perseverance.

Top 5 finals all time . This game was full of emotion on all cylinders !

Yo fui a esa final cuando tenía 16 años. Era mi primer partido en vivo y fui a apoyar al Cruz Azul con mi madre. Recuerdo que al salir, nos separaron en el metro y sólo había un vagón de azules. El silencio en ese vagón era tal que parecía velorio. Había gente llorando y todos hacíamos contacto visual sacudiendo la cabeza. Ahí deseé haberlo visto por televisión para no tener que estar pasando por esa verguenza en público. Fue el único partido del cruz azul al que he podido ir en mi vida.
