As per my experience, smart people are earning well having million dollar homes and luxury cars. If you spend mindfully we can save more. In India it’s hard to survive in job market with common skills if you are above 40 years old, but you can survive in USA with basic skills and without retirement age limit. That’s the difference.

Hi Aarthi & Prem, அருமை. வெளிநாட்டில் வாழும் தமிழர்களின் என்ன ஓட்டத்தை நீங்கள் அழகாக பிரதிபளித்திருக்கிறீகள். I am living in Singapore. Though in Singapore I have the same feeling. In 2006, I got a job offer in Hawaii when I was working in Singapore. When I was in the 8hrs long flight to Honolulu from Manila my thought was, why are we are going very far? I enjoyed working there but I missed my family. Back to Singapore after a year.

We came to US 15 yrs back. Came to US with a decision of going back to India after a couple of yrs. But after got used to the comfort, privacy & lifestyle more than money couldn't go back to India. That too after having kids & stress free education here. But with my husband's stubborn decision on moving back to India I'm left with no other option. Moving to India for good next month with a heavy heart with lots of confusion going on in my mind

If u want to live like american , america is good. If u want to live like Indisn in america, you cant do that. India is rich in everything. Best textile, food, beautiful temples, frequent festivals , very good medical care to cater to every strata of the society. Only problem is overly populated. Still Indians share and care. I find Indians In America very selfish and look down upon their cousins or relatives who live in India. They also expect that when they come to India, we should spend time with them, which they dont, if we go to america. Life is wonderful in India, happy and healthy.

But i'm now in a CONFUSION OF MY LIFE, whether to stay here in India or give US a try. And i'm bit scared about the life in US as we have to sacrifice a lot. I'm not able understand if the sacrifices and all those efforts in USA are worth it.

Many US living Indians used to tell we are missing relatives friends etc. and also social gathering, our festivals etc., however even at the time of nearing Visa validity, many families want to stay in US only not to go and settle in India. I don't know why? I am an Indian parent my son and his family is here for more than 12 years. We also visited n stayed in US for more than five times ( now also myself n my wife are staying with my son in US).

The video says of life in the US. I think it is applicable even people working / living in different states. I am from Chennai, have been in Mumbai for the past 30 years. Couldn't attend the functions back at home many times due to job commitments etc. The problem is how connected the family is. Till parents are alive, you atleast have a common place to visit. Now I have to stay in brother / sister homes which aren't the same. 2 to 3 days max. With this constraint now I hardly go to Chennai. Thanks to communication, can atleast speak and see the relations once a while..

Half day attender s salary for a month is 21000.other than that comes other expenses. So don't feel bad earn as much as possible when you can and it's sure an assert for your whole life.all the best.

Everything is changing in India also. It is not how it was 15-20 years backs. Heavy traffic and pollution. Taking kids to school itself in the pollution they will definitely get sick often then extra circular activities traveling in the heat it will be very exhausting. Also, relatives are busy with their own lives. When going on a 2-3 weeks vacation everyone in India will be very cordial and nice but if we stay there permanently, day to day their attitudes will also change. Always grass is greener on the other side. There are many who after getting citizenship returned back to the US

As years go by, there are more negatives one can realize in US than living in India 1. Healthcare in US is a complete farce. If someone is having health issues, it will become hell in US. In India, one can easily live with all sort of alternate therapies 2. Missing all the family functions/relatives is a curse. being a stranger in own family is big pain 3. Very Less comfort though people earn much. In India , if you earn well, you can lead a very comfortable life. Everything happens so easily in India whereas in US, there is no such comfort.. everything has to be done by ourselves 4. Though education system is good, what about children growing in US culture. How will their mindset be regarding marriage, kids etc.. Atleast in India, there is lot of moral values which they can adhere to naturally. 5. If one is spirtual, you will miss the beauty of festivals and indian temples.

U missed the fact that public school educations is free. It's funded by Govt. The same style of education is private in India, we pay heavy in India. Medical insurance covers all the lab tests, scans, clinic visits and hospitals visits. In India, they cover only hospital expenses. Its a car dependent country. Without a car, its not easy to travel. Even if you want to go to a temple, the nearest one would be atleast an hour or 2 hours of drive. I second your thoughts and experiences whatever u said in the video. I would say, people settle down back to India when they get old. Younger kids and middle age are the ones usually get settled in US.

Hi Arthi & Prem you both are doing good job , well said, all your points are acceptable. When I am in india, i am not facing any insecurity and loneliness n etc, but here I am facing lot. This is my personal opinion only.

wait till college start for 2 kidss. you will have wave 60 to 80 k annually for 4 year and it may not stop there if they pursue MS. for medial students they wont qualify for job until they 30 or 34 years ol.d i have seen most indians wearing same apparel for many years.. so they tend start the savings bcs money for cars, house and college is most expensive and then comes funeral savings as well. also add cost for travelling once in year or once in 2 years to india.. both parent have keep working until their end of life..

Everything is O.K. But at any point of time did the people, especially younger generation living in US , thought of their parents. When you leave India, the parents will be middle aged. When you people come back to India, parents would be very much aged. Some times they may not be alive. Then where is the parents and children's relationship.

I know people make 12000$ per month by just doing Uber driving and they pay less tax only .Once you have greencard then opportunities and salaries increase as well. But the downside is there is no real relationship here and there is a loneliness which can lead you to depression. Also you have to work with experts then this also makes you to work a lot.So there are ups and downs as well .If some body expires in India we can’t go there .Yearly we get only 3 weeks vacation only .health care is also not good in US .
