I grew up in Bentonville. And I’m still within 20 minutes of town. It’s crazy to see what it’s become. I got into mountain biking 20 years ago and had to drive nearly two hours to find trails. Now I have countless miles of trails 10-20 minutes away. I just bought my 7 year old son his first mountain bike, and he’s really getting into it. So I’m getting back into it. It’s pretty awesome having this in my hometown. We may not have snow-capped mountains, but we are in the Ozark mountains. And they provide plenty of elevation for great trails. Especially with the creativity of the designers.

@@darrelduke Walmart doesn't own any part of Rapha and has not given any money towards the trails. Rapha was purchased by Tom and Steuart Walton, grandsons of Sam, with their own money. The Walton Family Foundation is the one who has invested in trail infrastructure (some outright and the rest with matching grants among the cluster of small cities around Bentonville). The OZ trail infrastructure was also made possible by the communities in which the trails reside. It's been a total buy-in including tax money to build and maintain multi-use and MTB trails in annual city budgets.

I live a 30 minute cycle to Loch lomond here in Scotland and it has a train station right next to the shores, Scotland has so much potential and I'm sure elsewhere in the UK has as well, yeah we mostly have some little trails dotted around but stuff like this would be life changing to so many people with health and mental health 🤙🤙

Great video guys. I visited Bentonville last year and was surprised how good it was. Doesn't have big mountains but the trails were well designed and fun. Bikes everywhere you go and the people we're very friendly.

That looks totally awesome and great to see Martyn out riding with everyone too having a ball with a massive grin on his dial, that bowhead looks great on the trails with the master behind the wheel. Also the same with Anneke, seeing her back out and riding and seeing her recovery process after the accident is inspiring. Blake, Neil & Rich getting out there shredding it, Blake spending more time in the air than on the ground. It's how it should be. 😎👍p.s. also good that Jack the cameraman has survived his wheelie lessons and is still out filming. 🤪

It absolutely does have breathtaking views in the Ozarks. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I'm much prefer the beautiful views of lakes rivers in the morning fog rolling through the valleys. And most definitely the hardwood forests. I've seen my fair share of deserts and I don't consider them breathtaking.

I somehow missed this when it was published. Probably because I was driving to Bentonville the day it was published. Even got some coaching from Mr. Drew. And wiped at The Railyard the same way Neil did. Ha! Can't wait to go back.

Looks awesome, great to see so many different people coming together to just have a good time. Well done to all the people involved setting that up and the local community for embracing it. Makes me slightly sad that they can't seem to see the value of it at my local trails (Woburn) which are in a bit of peril again at the moment, hopefully it will get sorted out.

Its not always easy to be proud of America, but I know behind the headlines there are so many great places and great people even in places that have a stigma like Arkansas, or Appalachia where I'm from. I still believe things we can unite together on like MTB are the lynch pins that make us better. Thanks for showing a bit of that.

It can get hot just like anywhere but it's not like it's far south. It's only about a mile to the Missouri state line. So July and August it could get hot but the rest of the year isn't too bad. Plus lots of creeks and Springs and rivers and lakes to cool off in.
