👍👍👍. What a great speaker you are and the Association needs to have you speak as you educate new ranchers and work with older long time ranchers to giving a helping hand to continue the growth of the Bison. But mostly working ones own herd so that they trust you and they become calmer too. Hard to believe it’s only been three years since you began with your own small herd but your enthusiasm seems like you’re an owner for many more than three years. You not only educate yourself but willing to reach out for help and discussion with those who’ve been doing this far longer. Been watching you ever since Daniel Arms suggested to watch a family member doing something a little crazy and not an animal he wished to own on his farm. Saw your ups and downs and the sadness of loss and seen how you love upon your herd so that they are calm when you’re around. So I’m for sure excited about the future for you having more Bison and all the exciting new things you’re planning on your journey to helping the Bison make a comeback. Hard to believe it’s only been three years you’ve had your herd cus you always seem to be studying and asking for help and definitely learning how to do things better in order to raise your favorite animal......the majestic Bison. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Grew up near Canyon, Tx. Charlie Goodnight had 2 pet bison that he insisted keeping in town for tourists. They always got out and ran around town. They were considered major headaches. Nobody said no to Mr Goodnight, but they didn't do well in a little corral in town. The last one was stuffed and put in the local museum.

You are so good with your animals, but unless I can take care of them from the outside of the fence. The first time I seen a bison up close was at a native American powwow I use to go to I worked for the lady who owned the bison and she said that she was the only person who could get near it because he would attack anyone else who try to get in the pin with him and I asked her if I could get in there with him I told her that he wouldn't attack me so she told me to enter at my own risk and I got in the pin with and started petting him and scratching his head and she was shocked and asked me how I knew he wasn't going to hurt me I told her two reasons one he showed no signs of aggression to me and two my native American name means big buffalo plus my spirit animal is a buffalo most animals don't scare me I'm more scared of certain reptiles had a bad experience with them at a young age

If all cattle could be raised the way these bison (and perhaps most?) are raised, the issues surrounding the mass production of meat would be eliminated - feed lots, long distance hauling, antibiotics. It's too bad there isn't the land to raise all the meat we eat this way. I eat very little meat just because of the mass production issues, but if I could afford to eat bison, I would every day. The quality of life that the bison at CTB have is second to none.

Having recently started a 70 head herd myslef I'm shocked and appreciate that you are able and actually willing to video some of it. As you know some of the best moments are sadly not caught on video. I learned a lot watching videos like yours, maybe I should make more on an effort to capture it and share it out.
