It’s not a mix, she never mix both vinyls together. She only play disk one by one, fade in - fade out. It’s not a mix. But I Am agree, we call it a Disk Jokey. But it’s not a mix

I've just got set up with 2 turntables and a DJM450 mixer. My goodness mixing vinyl is so hard, but so worth it. I thought I appreciated sets like this before - but now having tried, failed, and tried again to mix vinyl, I truly appreciate the talent that goes into just one smooth transition, let alone an entire set of them!

Just started spinning vinyl and watching this makes me appreciate this mixing so much. Thank you Lenske!

Christer Johansson I actually use a controller with my computer (4decks) which is then plugged into channel 1 on my mixer with a turntable on channel 2 so I can spin vinyl with the new digital only songs 👌 It’s a whole different art form to sync up vinyl than to hit “sync” in a program and have a computer instantly do it for u

Love seeing all the different movements to slow down/speed up/adjust the records, it's a whole different thing than mixing with CDJs

Ah the finesse in handling vinyls, cleaning records from dust to prevent skipping of the needle, blowing off that one pesky dust particle, reminds me when I was young and had the time to do it every day and really miss it :( Love to see that a young talent still can master the skills to perfectly beatmix one record in to the other!! Best format in the world. Here's only 3 of 100 reasons to buy vinyl: 1- Lot harder to accidently delete/lose a record vs file. 2- expensive? Think of vinyl as a control for good music to be released. The higher price means you don't buy it unless you truly love it, making your collection irreplaceable. (For the love of music alone this wins!) 3- cats can't sit on or protect an mp3. Cats can cure depression and have had important roles in the creation of vinyl records and rhythm. You can expect to meet cats and other chill animals when you own vinyl.

Amelie is amazing (saw her live on Apgrade in Belgrade and I got hooked up, one of the most amazing sets and she was for me the best set on the night even thow she played after Papa Sven Vath) but I gotta love the cat being a cat:P he didnt move even when she need a new vinyl hahaha. Is great to see some new blood at techno and it's so refreshing that after 20 years listening techno there are still new DJs that show up and deliver the goods and make me love and renew my strenghts to keep partying hard in the dancefloor:)

As i can see u dont understand the concept of techno, u just see a cute face of model and nothing else. Amelie wasnt work hard for future music industry, she has no talent at all, using drammcode machine for all of performance. This experience just show me again and again that becoming a DJ is very easy nowadays.

Dass die immer noch Schallplatten verwenden, ist spitze. Die beats sind simpel und trotzdem so prägnant! Da kann tomorrowland tomorrowland bleiben, das hier ist das wahre und ich will gar nicht wissen, wie geil das früher auf den raves gewesen sein muss, weil ich dann zum Vergleich zu heute (wenn ich die crowd sehe) kotzen müsste.

I love old school djing and I think vinyl sessions are an irreplaceable art form. But I would never discredit contemporary djs as a whole. While it may not take the same amount of skill and finesse, I think it has allowed for some truly inventive mixes that wouldn't be possible otherwise. I believe they can coexist :)
