Amel 60, This modern blue water cruiser is a true benchmark for quality.

For those acquainted with Amel, it will come as no surprise that the Amel 60 is a comprehensively fitted out boat, well built and easy to handle short-handed. For those who are looking to buy a boat of this size and type, you really should put this on your shortlist in order to check out where the accurate benchmark for value for money versus practical and solid engineering lies. And, if you can, go to the yard in La Rochelle and see the operation for yourself. There are few others like it in the world.

Great Amel 60 visit. The presenter kept saying, "you have your...", so by the end I actually thought I owned it.

The emel vessels that I have seen are very well done & designed . A bit on the modern side with materials ( ie woodwork.) but that's ok . We do not have to have always traditional older grand woodwork. ( that's expensive and not necessary.). It's a beautiful boat. And I am sure it's performance is superb. Tks for the Your!

As always, thank you for taking us to Cannes with you! I thought that the interior of the Oyster 595 was unparalleled. But the interior of this new Amel 60 is up there. I don't know though if the benefits of adding 10 feet to the Amel 50 outweigh the extra cost and headaches. Having seen them both from up close, maybe you can share your thoughts. I would ask how much it costs but there is no point doing so until I win the lottery, lol, Now back to the old Pearson 23' of my local yacht club.

The Amel 50 is enough of a boat for most people, and it would be for me; it's like many things in life, though: if you can, and you want something bigger, then why not? ;) The Amel 60 is an impressive sailboat; as you will see, in a few weeks, we have a test sail of a Garcia 60 coming. Once again, it is a very impressive sailboat with all the comforts of modern living, but I would be more than happy with their 45ft. As for the Oyster 595 being British, and I had a good look last week at the Cannes boat show, she is one hell of a sailboat. A video on that coming soon.

Omg, Garcia 60 and Oyster 595...I can't wait! The stuff heaven is made of. Though they're built with different considerations in mind, they are my two favorite boats. You are by far one of the best channels, and i wish more people would take notice! Since I too am British by birth (born in Hackney, East London), I am partial to Oyster. In case I do win the lottery, is it OK to name such an expensive boat COYI? 😂

18:13 looks like the chain plate rod thing is bent, probably just a camera lense effect.

Thanks for the review. The finger point is back. It’s really distracting and annoying to have you hand point in front of the screen continually. We can see what you are referring to, no need to point and put your hand in front of the camera lense.

I only do it because so many people said in the older videos that they were wondering what I was talking about; it's a bad habit, I know, but with new viewers, it helps them understand? Sorry ;) I will work on it.
