I'd probably go the opposite for high end. Intel for work, AMD for gaming. The 13900k is great for everything, and is roughly the best at half of all work load and half of all gaming benchmarks. yeah, it produces more heat. There is nothing from AMD that is great for everything. Roughly half the time AMD beats the 13900k but some run better with the 7950x; some the 7950x3d; some the 7800x3d. For gaming, you could justify the 7800x3d imo; but for work, I don't think you can justify any of them over the 13900k.

Breaking PC not depends on your GPU chip model or CPU Everything matters: brand who produced your GPU, motherboard brand, model, quality of it, quality of your power block, its power, is it enough for your build, does it have some reserve, quality of assembly in general, which ssd/hdd used, is it good enough, was adapters used, all this shit matters. Plus, how you use it, how you care about your pc, was your pc damaged, etc. But GPU chip model and CPU doesn't matter too much
honestly ryzen 7 7700x and a 4070 ti is the best combo for 1440p/4k gaming
I’ve got to be honest with you whatever fits your budget just know that initially you’re gonna have to replace it so don’t go out and spend $5000 when you’re going to have to replace it in less than 10 years my first PC was a Intel Core I am nine 1090 F with the RTX 2060 super at this time they were selling graphics card that were like $1500 so my computer cost me $2000. That's good advice but not for people that are new to PCs - we build custom PCs for people, so generally I'm talking to the guys that don't want to build their own PC If you don't want to build your own PC, you won't want to replace the motherboard and processor - that's essentially just the same as building a whole new PC haha If you're to get a Core i9 13900K today though, I'm pretty confident you'll still be playing AAA games in 5 years at decent frame rates 🙂

I'm omw for my first PC for both Gaming and Streaming. It's a Ryzen 5 7600X with the 3060-Ti OC edition
I have to politely disagree… if you wanna run newer games with higher spec minimums, you definitely need a better CPU just because that carries your frame rate especially on games, like Call of Duty. And I know temps are a problem on Intel but there's a reason why literally most of the people that do hard-core editing and workload stuff choose Intel. Ryzen is a slightly cheaper option for gaming. -don’t get me wrong they are still amazing but Intel normally is slightly faster.

If you are gaming, the 7800x3d is generally the better choice for the higher end over the 13900k. I considered the 13900k but the cost vs performance didn’t add up. Had a 13700k and yes it did good, it’s noticeably slower in some of the games I play vs the 7800x3d with the 4090.
