I personally would love to see a 5950X3D with the v-cache accessible to all cores

I actually think there's a line of reasoning why they would do something like add v-cache to one of these. Now that they are about to release the 2nd generation on AM5, there's no interference with the then-dead 1st gen am5, so they can overlap the am4 performance there without a loss. I think they could legit get close to the 7800x3d gaming performance on am4, and they might as well...

hard to imagine an XT3d lol true, but one can hope they release one last x3d high frequency 8 core, 6ghz let's gooo.

It's almost like a product is still selling, and they don't have to make significant changes (and subsequently spend significant money) to said product to keep customers happy. What a brazen, Pro-consumer move by AMD!

X570 is a rock solid platform and can be elite for gamers at 1440p while saving them close to 500 dollars.

Finally something to upgrade to from my 3700x

I just want a cezanne based X3D CPU .... for really high infinity fabric clocks.

I will buy the 5950xt because I'm still on the 3950x...now that's a valid upgrade

i would also love a 5950 X3d even with lower clock on twin ccd's However can you imagine if they drop a NM and release just a faster one.

I think it will end AM4 with Ryzen 6000 series but AMD hasn't yet told us that. But Ryzen 6000 was released on the laptops 🤔

I mean when you think about it they probably have a large stock of dies that aren't up to par to be 5800X3D so they can repurpose them for higher core count chips that can't handle the 3D cache

It does seem odd this late, the 3800x and 3800xt are almost exactly a year apart. As for the next generation, the 5800x got the 5800x3d nearly 2 years after but never an xt variant. Sales for 5000 series are still great since am4 and ddr4 are relatively cheap in the current market.

As 5900x user. buying the xt version just for a slight increase in performance makes no sense to me. However if they come out with a v-cache version depending on the bench marks buying that would make sense to me.

While i understand that AMD will have sn excess of lesser silicone left over i commend them for releasing better AM4 CPU's where most(intel im looking at you haha) would just ignore this and force the user to upgrade to the next gen.. by doing this shows us that they are prepared to support what is considered an already dead platform beyond its life cycle and thou this may be a cash grab in the long run.. to get what they can from old silicone wafers left over it shows that instead of just releasing more AM4 existing CPU's they are committed to extending the life of a dead platform by offering new chips and keep budget gamers like me happy for years to come..
