This is one of the most beautiful songs ever. Everything here are off the charts like the musicianship, melody, harmony, lyrics and falsetto. But the thing that caught my attention the most was the sax solo. That sax player brought his instrument in the next level.

@@EddieDexterStewart Have you heard Ambrosia's song with Michael McDonald and the late great James Ingram singing backing vocals? The song is called I Can't Let Go and it has a three-part harmony chorus that just melts me. To me, it is the very definition of R&B. Just Beautiful.

@@teensymom1420 It's actually not Ambrosia, it's from David Pack's solo album with MM and JI on guest vocals. Great album, btw.

...uh-oh, Empress done DID it..... ***AMBROSIA TRIVIA TIME!!*** ...It's the biggest.... ....Ambrosia are One of the GODFATHERS of "Yacht Rock" (...a smooooth sounding, jazzy, California influenced soft Rock, with R&B harmonies; it was originally for rich people who played it when sailing on their 'yachts' in the 70's...) ...this tune (written by David Pack), is a LEGENDARY soft Rock tune, that set the standard for Soft Rock listeners....it is HUUUUGE..... - THe tune peaked at #3 Pop, August, 1980 (from their Album, "One Eighty" which was the release date of the Album)....they've been around since the mid 70's and had a previous Soft Rock classic in 1978 called, "How Much I Feel".... ....the tune makes LOTS....LOTS...of Money for the writer through Radio play (when the Songwriter gets residuals from Radio play); they're played CONSTANTLY on Internet Radio, R&B radio, AC Radio, Soft Rock radio, Pop Radio, 'catalog' Radio, Smooth Jazz Radio.... ....believe me, this tune is HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE......

Right-on, RBS -- "legendary" and "HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE" are no exaggeration when it comes to this song, the entire production is a masterpiece, so much happening in it that's likely missed by first-timers (ear buds/headphones help). Talk about kicking off the '80s on a great note (pun intended)! Their Midnight Special live version (also on KZread) is equally good, amazingly close to this studio perfection rendition. Can you tell it's one of my favorite songs EVER? 😁

This song isn't a fire bop, it's a firestorm! I think Poppie and I are Internet brothers from another mother when it comes to his latest selections, this one being right up there as one of my favorites from 1980 or any other decade for that matter. "Biggest Part of Me" is excellence from start to fade-out, with its sonically-perfect David Pack vocals, beautiful background harmonies, tempo, Empress-approved sax(!), Leslie speaker-driven Hammond tickling the background all the way through to the outro where its finally and rightfully brought forward, and last but certainly not least, those breathtaking lyrics. I always found this song unusual in that the lyrics begin with the background harmonies calling out the first word or phrase which Pack plays off of, but then later in the song things are transposed with Pack starting the next lyrical "stanza" and the background harmonies completing each phrase or thought, and it all works so seamlessly. My favorite lyrics: "(rainbow) risin' over my shoulder; (love flows) gettin' better as we're older; (all I know) all I want to do is hold her, she's the life that breathes in me," and the often overlooked one-liner, "ain't life grand." An outstanding song, as is Empress's reaction thereto. 😊💯🔥
