Ambience/ASMR: Feast in Medieval Great Hall (Musical Version), 4 Hours

List of Sounds:
- crickets chirping in the golden glow of sunset
- a pair of owls calling to each other from the trees just beyond the window, perched in branches that sway in the balmy, wafting evening breeze
- horses trotting through wooded paths, carrying riders homeward in the waning light; occasional whinnies and neighs
- wood crackling as it burns in the central hearth/fireplace
- the gentle, jovial chatter & laughter of a small noble household (the lord, his family, his guests, and his servants -- mixed genders & ages)
- softly creaking footsteps
- long skirts rustling with movement; woolen tunics swishing; the jingle of belts ornamented with small dangling bells
- ale poured from ceramic jugs & flagons into mugs & drinking horns
- ceramic drinking vessels clinking; carved wooden plates & bowls sliding across long tables
- ladles scooping pottage; knives cutting mouthfuls of venison, boar, swan, and pie; fingers tearing portions of bread
- the chiming of church bells (at 44:37)
- minstrels in the gallery playing musical interludes between courses (from 0:00 through 26:44; 1:15:52 through 1:42:51; 2:32:39 through 2:59:24)

Question: What is an ambience video?
Answer: Pleasant, soothing background images & sound for relaxation, study, play, or work; gently occupies an anxious or unfocused mind without causing unwanted distraction; creates a comfortable, inviting atmosphere; personalizes sparse, colorless, or impersonal environments; enlivens spaces where we live or work alone; fills silence with more subtlety, ease, and warmth than music or TV; offers softly dynamic "rainbow noise" instead of monotonous white noise; enhances interior design & personal style by turning screens/screensavers into live photographic displays.

Omg, as a writer of medieval fantasy this is one of the BEST videos I have ever found. I have many feasts in my books. This video is absolutely amazing. It's so perfect to how I envisioned and have reenacted medieval feasts!!

Okay, I just found this, but I just want to say: you are perhaps one of the BEST channels I've found for ambiences. I am someone that is sensory, and so I struggle a lot with certain ambiences because they're somehow too loud for me. You capture each ambience perfectly, and in a tone I can handle, and that I sincerely appreciate. PLUS! You've helped me write two full chapters of my book that I've had horrific writer's block on - so I cannot thank you enough. You've done so well, and I am so incredibly thankful for your work, and will be listening to your videos for weeks to come!

@@ambienceofyesteryear6871 I've just found this! As a completely blind person the ability to take myself away from the current crisis, especially now, is fantastic, and it does that in a way I can safely say I've never encountered before. Can you send me a list of the songs and where to download them so I can make a playlist for later? also are you contactable off comments, so I can discuss how you layerd and built this soundscape, the programs you used, and exactly what you used, with particular regards to the conversation, which is prevalent, but you can't hear individual words and I'd like to know how you did that. PS: As a music teacher, BA degree holder and budding musicologist, I never expanded on it more (Maybe I Should) the music is perfectly apropreate for the time period portray'd, although as noted before, there are other options. Kind regards, and really fantastic job, Melissa Cox.
