About the game at 8:51, the story about Chupacabra is a mystery/terror case very, very famous in Latin America (a least here in Brasil, in the 90s). It's about some kind of creature that were killing animals in the farms and sucking their blood. This is the reason for the name "Chupacabra", that means something like "Goat-sucker". Google results about it are kinda creepy. This is the most unexpected comment I've ever made on a youtube video lol

The 8 in 1 console looks like the Animal Crossing New Horizons Nintendo Switch …
I love how Elliot has played so many poorly-emulated bootleg handhelds that he is now impressed by generic ripoffs of semi-competent existing games.
We bought the RockIT for my daughter, and now that she's getting of a closer age to be able to play with it, she loves it! Some of the games make really clever use of the controls.
Oh god. That 8 in 1 handheld is just NES bootlegs. I recognized Diamond as a rom hacked arkanoid because I also have a 50(?) In 1 plug n play that has that exact same game. Same music and everything.

@yoymate6316
3 жыл бұрын
Evelin is right, it’s a JungleTac VT. They’re the highest-quality famiclones that are still made afaik, being that they’re an actual system-on-a-chip executing code natively which will always be better than emulation in low-powered stuff. It’s an expanded architecture based on and compatible with the NES but with much better sound and more oomph (yet still less powerful than an SNES)

@@cecilectomy it matters if you are trying to explain how things are pronounced in another language, and I'm baffled you disregard it completely. Anyway I never ever heard people pronounce those two things the same, perhaps sometimes it can sound quite alike, but it has a clear difference.
I wonder if the screen ripples because it’s actually a 16x9 screen with bezels that make it look 4x3, so the screen actually extends right to the edges of the d-pad and action buttons, occasionally getting pressed under the d-pad. That’d also explain the vertical layout of the action buttons.
The Frozen one kind of makes me think of a possible reason why less girls get into video games than boys. Imagine you're 3 years old, and you get that as a gift. But the boy gets the one from Cars. Look at the difference between those 2! It's not that girls are less inclined to gaming, but they are given a bad first impression, and then society pressures them not to enjoy the hobby.
Honestly the Leap Frog one looks pretty cool for a Baby's First Console. I could see myself buying it for my nephew if it still exists in 2-3 years...

Road Fighter is a NES game and you have to pick the white cars for extra time. Diamond looks like Arkanoid. Its not a bad game, its just "old".
These might be cool but are they better then the Pop station line up. Ashens over the years has clearly proven the Pop stations are the greatest thing ever hahaha.

your pitch for the leap frog at 17:35 is hysterical "if you enjoy lots of visual things and moving things and lots of sounds and colors and lights" .... so if youre a baby?
The last one is such a cool idea
Disney's Planes was a Disney Animation Studios spin-off of Pixar's Cars with the main character Dusty Cropduster being voiced by the comedian/actor Dane Cook. Even though Pixar is owned by Disney, Planes had nothing to do with the Pixar division.
Dude I love your videos thanks for another amazing video Elliot.
I'm so glad you stuck Dusty on your face at the end
The game at 9:12 is a reskin of a game called Quarth, which was a game for the original Game Boy. It's like an alternative to Tetris. You shoot pieces at the falling shapes to fill them into complete rectangles to make them disappear. How do I know this? I buy and resell Nintendo handhelds on EBay, and luckily Quarth came with one of the first ones I got. It was lucky because it's the only game I can use to test the DMG's and GB Pockets.
Gotta love the music quality on the 8-in-1. x3
The Spring Bros one is a reskin of a classic Mario Game&Watch Gallery game (not an actual game&watch game) called Fire.
Leap Frog has been in the educational toy game here in the US for quite a while now. There are a well known brand
I would’ve love to have something like that 2nd one as a kid
The bird game on DSiWare you're thinking of is called Bird & Beans, and the bird character's name is Pyoro.
That game at 9:12 was actually a multiplayer gameboy game called "quarth" once you get the hang of it, it's a blast!
I forget that people outside of North America don't all know the legend of "El Chupacabra".
Nice! The 8 in 1 really reminded me of the Pocket Arcade kit from TinyCircuits, that might interest you.
5:40 I had to double check, that background is rip straight from Super Mario World
The machine itself for the 8-in-1 handheld was quite good though. I wonder if it might be possible to get an emulator of that thing, probably put some NES, and Master System games on it.
Ball Bladder is where it's at! I live in New Mexico, USA and the chupacabra is a real thing
Road Fighter is an actual licenced NES game
Another really good one is the My arcade portable games. The one I have has the paper plane , bounce bros and the bird game and more, totally would recommend.
Id actualy want that Lexibook for my little sister tbh, looks pretty good
Spring Bros is Game & Watch "Fire"!!! It looks closer to the version from Game & Watch Gallery, which is why you probably recognized it almost immediately.
